Repacking Art Supplies is so Evil
So my sister gifted me some art supplies, and what kills me is on the surface level my sister gave a really great effort into pairing the supplies together and had no way to know she got scammed by a couple of these products.
Only 1 of the products is legit, which is a pack of 6 water based Faber Castel markers. They work really well and do exactly what you expect them to do.
The liners she got claim to be water proof, and for those who don't know water proof should mean these are alcohol based so that the ink not only dries quickly but will not mix with water based products. Well these liners are not only a bit dry (which I think is why they dry quickly) but are in fact water based liners. To prove this I ran an alcohol marker over them and they did not mix, but with these Faber Castel water markers they did blend together and run.
The liners are hard for me to read but I think this says Master's Touch Fine Art Studio. Do not trust, they have no idea what they are repackaging, and these are for sure repackaged liners cause they have identical design to other liners I've had before.
The last one is the MOST fucking egregious bs I've ever seen. My sister got a marker pad that was like $12 for a 9x12. Pretty good price for a marker pad right?
Except it's not a marker pad at all. The cover is textured like watercolor paper and the illustration shown on the cover is also a watercolor illustration, but that's not even the worst part. This fking pad is not marker or watercolor paper it is just straight up printer paper. This is nothing more than a cheap sketchpad pretending to be a marker pad with watercolor graphics.
This pad is ALSO from Master's Touch Fine Art Studio. AGAIN DO NOT TRUST OR BUY FROM THIS BRAND they are a fucking scam and prey upon people who have no idea how to shop for art supplies or just shop exclusively online.
My sister did nothing wrong, she even went through the damn effort to try to pair the items together and based on the descriptions given on these products they should have worked fine enough together, but the Master's Touch brand is a repackaging, lying, POS and I hate them for tricking my sister and who knows how many others like this.
There is also 0 reason to do this, except to try to scam people. If these were priced and packaged properly as just a sketch pad and water based liners there would be no issues, but because marker pads and alcohol based liners are far more expensive, you get assholes who think it's okay to do this shit.
