Has Spencer's given up on Rick and Morty? Once the backbone of the merchandise roundups, Spencer's is now a place that carries a handful of Rick and Morty items, but I haven't found new apparel there in ages. Adult Swim also seems to have abandoned the merchandise drops that they used to launch before a new season aired.
Maybe Spencer's has thrown in the towel. But don't worry, Tumblr: I haven't abandoned the search for Rick and Morty merchandise. I've just shifted my focus to other stores, such as the rural Walmarts that inexplicably specialize in Rick and Morty sandals.
Head shops are also a safe bet. In fact, I visited one that appeared to have the first-ever Penguin Morty bong. Admittedly, I'm not positive that this is supposed to be Morty, but the yellow shirt and helmet-shaped hair are pretty undeniable.
Another head shop had a selection of Rick and Morty grinders. I guess turning Rick's hair into a pot leaf still hasn't gotten old.
If you need a new rolling tray, the store had a couple of options with 3D illustrations on the lids. Samurai Rick is actually pretty badass, which further proves my theory that he can pull off any look besides bald.
And no head shop is complete without Pickle Rick! Looks like a pickup truck backed over him a few times, though.
Anyway, Spencer's might be failing us, but Five Below has been stepping up with unique merchandise, including this brightly colored poster.
Rick and Morty is also getting into the gacha game with these mystery boxes. I love that Summer finally got a figurine, although I wish it were more accessible. Beth and Summer merchandise is severely lacking.
Finally, if you need a friend for your Penguin Morty bong, Five Below has your new bathtime buddies: Rick and Morty "cosplaying ducks."
Anything but more Crow Rick merchandise, huh?
I'm not sure if you can actually take these into the bath, but at least this brand tried something different instead of slapping one of the generic season one images on a piece of apparel. The Morty duck even captures his worried expression. Still, I don't think Duck Morty has much to worry about: he's probably going to spend his life sitting on someone's desk or bookshelf.
