I was laying in eddies bed as he strums his guitar practicing a few new songs he's been wanting to learn. he hums, trying to catch the rhythm and the beat. "whatcha learning eds?" i ask as i turn to face him. he stops for a second to answer me, "well it's a surprise sweetheart, what's the fun in telling you" he says while a smirk plastered on his face as he continues practicing. i sigh and continue to occupy my mind with whatever trinkets are around his room.
a few days go by and all day eddie has been hinting to me of a surprise he has for me, something that has taken him awhile to learn. hinting during class, during lunch, even during a deal he made in the woods. we walk to our 5th period, "can i at least have a hint eddie?" i beg looking up at him with innocent eyes. "that wont work with this one princess" he says as he opens the door for me.
after school, we have dnd club since it's friday, eddie and i walk hand in hand into the theater. "when will i know the suprise eds?" i ask squeezing his hand slightly. "you'll know when we get back to my trailer...now stop trying to ruin your suprise" he says laughing at my efforts to get him to spill.
as dnd club finishes we say buy to everyone and head over to eddie's van. "after you m'lady" he says opening my side helping my in. the car ride back home eddie just talk about dnd club. "i swear my campaign will shock all you guys..." he says laughing, "hey no spoilers i wanna be suprised!" i say as he quickly shoots me a look. "AHA you don't want spoilers right! you gotta be patient y/n" he says smirking. "did you seriously plan that out" i say rolling my eyes as he hums in response.
we get to his trailer and head into his room. "m'lady" he says as he guides me to the bed moitioning me to sit down. "are you ready for your suprise?" he says standing over me with my his hand holding my chin to look up at him. 'mhm' i say as he walks over to his guitar taking it off the wall. he pulls up a chair, getting in position.
"well sweetheart i know you've heard me practicing for the past few weeks and this was your surprise." he says as he adjusts all the cords giving it a test strum. "i know how you always call this 'our song' so i learned it for you" he says as he starts playing 'i was made for loving you by kiss'.
strumming his guitar he starts singing it while looking at me making me blush. i start singing along and i just watch his face light up and his cheeks turn a soft shade of pink. i stand up grabbing his favorite brush using it as a microphone. getting on top of his bed i start 'performing' while he continues playing his guitar and singing. he laughs quickly trying to focus on the cords.
during the electric guitar solo he gets into it, stumming the cords perfectly in time. as the song ends he puts his guitar to the side, standing up heading towards me. i 'run' over and he catches me, placing his arms around my lower back as i look down on him.
"i loved it eddie!" i say as i give him a soft deep kiss. "i knew you would sweetheart, learned it just for you." he says as he looks deeply into my eyes. "can you play it again" i say smiling ear to ear. he 'thinks about it', "why don't i just play the cassette and we can both dance to it?" he says picking me off the bed. i agree and he walks over putting the cassette in pressing play.
he puts a hand out for me as i place mine in his, he kisses my hand and we start singing along. prancing and dancing around his room we end up on his bed pointing at each other singing "i was made for lovin' you baby, you were made for lovin' me".
the song ends and he pulls me in whispering "i love you", kissing me. "i love you too eds, this was the best surprise" i say walking over to replay the tape. "this song...all night" i say making him laugh.
