She had always been a part of the twelfth division, she was use to the set up, the members, everything. She was young for a seated member, but she had none the less proven her abilities to be the sixth seat of the squad. She often preferred to work on her own, minding what was her's and avoiding what belonged to the other's. Everything went well, until the day the squad lost it's captain. "Lost" was the term that Giselle placed upon it, not caring to further classify what had actually occurred. The true event was that the captain, Kirio Hikifune, was promoted to the royal squad- the zero division- for her excellence and bright work as a loyal member of the Gotei 13. Giselle was... sad, to say the least, to watch the plum haired captain go. However, it motivated her to work harder, to support the new captain.
Kisuke Urahara was his name. Not too soon after Hikifune-taicho's departure did this new man arrive, stating he was to be the new captain. Giselle didn't mind all two much, as she found it quite entertaining to watch as Hiyori Sarugaki, the lieutenant, make a scene over it. Giselle never had paid too much mind to the second seat, finding her hot headed and difficult to deal with- and this only further supported it. Giselle also made no effort to entertain the captain, staying to herself as she always did. She liked it that way, she was able to conduct her own experiments that way. She loved mutating things, creating creatures that she ultimately ended up having to destroy. Due to Giselle being a bit of an oddball, even amongst the oddest of the odd Junibantai, she kept a pet ermine in which rode on her shoulders or up the sleeves of her kosode. She called the little weasel Mio, and often times when she was working, that was who she was talking to.
One day while working, she lost track of where her sweet, little Mio had taken off to. In a slight panic, Giselle crawled out of her private work quarters and began her way around on hands and knees, searching for her pet. "Miooo~" She cooed in a hushed voice, a pout from frustration plastered across her face. Just her luck that her weasel would run off, possibly getting himself caught and used for experimenting on.God, that thought upset her. "Mio~! Miooo~!" She repeated over and over as she crawled around, looking everywhere she could fit.
