I can finally post this!

So last year, my brother got married. I like to crochet blankets for my friends who get married, but my brother is a beer and sports guy. He'd never care about a kitschy crochet blanket.

Lucky for me, he and his now wife have a favorite video game series: Legend of Zelda. And several years ago, someone posted this blanket on reddit. I fell in love with it because it was the only blanket design I saw that featured both Zelda and Link rather than just Link.

Unfortunately, the artist left Reddit before I could seriously ask for the pattern. So I was left to stare at pixel art and recreate it. As you can see, I took a lot of inspiration, but in the end, the design is fully my own.

I gave it to them a year late, but I finished!

(If anyone wants the charts, DM me. I do not have written out patterns, so knowledge of how to do corner-to-corner crochet and read the charts for it is necessary. But to be fair, I learned by making this blanket, so it's not hard, just a bit finicky.)

Ocarina of time and Marojas Mask are only a few favorites of the Zelda franchise. This was also a fun texturing experience. I am still thinking of doing OoT Link, perhaps dark Link and Oni Link 🤭🤭

Jared the Korok with Holly in the Forest .:LoZ:.

This has been sitting on my to finish list for about 2 years now, so I'm so happy I've been able to make this for a good friend of mine who helped me out when my car has broken down. I made them into a korok and had their dog Holly have the wolf link markings from TP as they pulled out the Master Sword. Got to play around with lighting and further working on improving my fur rendering skills.  Time Spent: ~10 hours
