Why I Hate Math With All My Heart

I’m just going to list the reasons:

1) We have calculators

2) It is absolute

3) Too many formulas to memorize

4) I kinda dislike my teacher

5) Honestly, how much of it are we going to use in our everyday lives?

6) What even is the point of math?

7) Can’t I just google it? I mean, of course, if no one studied math, there won’t be any google, but shouldn’t we at least have a choice to take math or not? (I am forced to take an extra math because of how my school works)

8) Seriously, Nothing is ever explained! When studying logarithms, I literally asked my teacher, “How does log work? How did it come about and what is the mechanism behind it?” I asked the same thing for trigo functions as well. I got no answer and a frustrated teacher.

9) Once again, TOO MANY FORKIN FORMULAS TO MEMORIZE! I can’t stand memorizing formulas and plopping it on only to get the wrong answer. So what if I know these formulas now? 1 hr later I’m going to forget it and fail my tests again!

10) Another repeated point, IT IS NOT DEBATABLE! I love to argue, but math itself is just... 1+1=2, a^2+b^2=c^2 or whatever the formula is (I can’t remember). Where is the fun in that? It’s all regurgitation, no creativity, no originality. It’s plain, bringing me on to my next point,

11) Math is DRY AF. Ok, let’s get this out of the way first, I am probably using the word ‘dry’ wrong. Well, I guess I will put it this way then. Math is like a dried out creative well. Heck, the well aint even there! It’s just specks of creative juice in the far reaches of the desert, only accessible by those higher ups doing the research. And it’s only that few! I am a person who loves to write and draw and create. I love chaos and unpredictability. Sure, you can draw graphs and charts in Math, but that ain’t fun! It’s all standard! Doing Math is like suffering a sore throat everyday. It hurts when you swallow. It’s horrible... It’s dry.

12) Because I come from an “elite” class, everyone around me is passing with flying colors while I am getting a 2/100 for my tests. It makes me feel stupid and it just destroys any motivation I may have had somehow managed to dig up. I do well for many of my other subjects, no problem, but when it comes it math, I fall horribly far behind. Everyone expects me to pass with flying colors but I just hate the subject too much to even bother trying. I have always hated the subject, but now even more because it makes me feel stupid.
