It’s surprising in a way not to find Cassidy naked and on all fours, servicing one Alpha or the other. He’s in one of the warehouses, a clipboard lazily clutched in one big hand, jotting stuff down.

Actually working.

Hanzo swallows thickly. He clutches the edges of the laptop until he hears the case creaking ominously at which point he jerks his hands away as if burned and shoves them underneath his thighs.

His heart is pumping fast in his chest. He wants to think that he’s getting angry just at the sight of the fat oaf, but that’s… not it. Really not. Instead, he is getting excited. Not even aroused, just… excited to see the old Alpha after weeks of neither smelling nor hearing him.

He swallows again, his tongue feeling swollen in his mouth. When he feels a little less unhinged, Hanzo reaches out and pushes a button, zooming in toward Cassidy. The quality of the video feed really is shitty, but it serves its purpose well enough, he supposes.

He just wishes there was some kind of audio feed attached as well. Something that would allow him to hear the other. That deep, smooth voice that has wormed its way along Hanzo’s spine.

Once again he is painfully aware of his phone and the number inside. He could just call him. Just… stare at him through the video and watch his movements while listening to his voice and idiotic prattling.

He’s got the phone pressed to his ear before he can really think about whether or not the idea is a good one. There’s a long moment of silence as the line tries to establish itself, then the slow beeping sound as he needs to wait for Cole to pick up.

On the video feed he watches as Cole suddenly stiffens and fumbles for his back pocket. Hanzo’s mouth goes dry and his fingers become sweaty.

Cole looks at the caller ID.

Hanzo wonders if he will even pick up, knowing that he won’t see a damn thing. He didn’t give him his number after all.

Like a fucking idiot.

His heart pumps faster, the rush of blood in his ears very loud as he watches Cole’s thumb slowly move over, ostensibly to swipe him away and maybe even block the unknown caller… when another person suddenly enters the feed.

They must be calling out to him because Cassidy turns around, smoothly just rejecting the call and sliding the phone back into his pocket.

Leaving Hanzo to sit there like a damn idiot, the fast beeping of the cut line drumming into his skull until he finally pulls his phone away. At least he didn’t block him. That would have been… yeah.

His thoughts are all over the place, jumping from being angry that Cassidy dared to not pick up to desperate that he might block him after all and make him go through various… channels to talk to him again. Did he have to go back to Deadlock just so he could talk to an old, washed-up whore?

The indignity-

Things are moving on the video feed. Cassidy and the new arrival had just been talking from what Hanzo could tell but now the other man’s hand is jerking out and grabbing Cassidy by the collar, roughly forcing him to turn and move toward some of the crates.

Cole is lifting his hands in a calming gesture, letting himself get bullied to where the other wanted him to stand. He even takes his time to put the little clipboard down carefully. Like he’s not being accosted by one of the members of his gang.

Hanzo’s breath slows down somewhat. It becomes deeper and heavier as he watches Cole reach down and start to undo his pants. It’s a lazy gesture; easy on the eyes, like he’s been just waiting for this random Alpha to come here and want to fuck into his well-used hole when in fact Hanzo can see the tight, annoyed expression on his face even through the grainy footage.

He can feel his hackles raising that another Alpha is getting his hands on his bitch – oh how quickly his tune changes… – while simultaneously starting to get hot and bothered for what is about to be a little show just for him. It’s a mindfuck… to get angry and horny at something in basically the same breath, but here he is, slowly dipping his fingers beneath the waistband of his silk pyjama pants while staring daggers at the two Alphas on screen.

Cassidy hasn’t even gotten his pants down as far as Hanzo knows when the other Alpha is already getting on him, pressing against his back and forcing him to lean over the crates. He’s curling his arms around Cassidy’s sturdy hips, holding him in a bear hug as he humps his clothed cock against the other’s ass.

Needy and impatient. Hanzo swallows thickly. That… could be him. That honestly had been him back in that airport bathroom. Hanzo jolts upright when exactly that happens. His breath catches in his throat, mouth lax in surprise as he watches the Alpha sink his teeth into Cassidy’s neck. It’s not a simple scruff; it’s a real bite, trying to maim and claim and… mate.

There is not even a split second of hesitation as Cole suddenly explodes into action. There’s a moment of screen tearing as the connection struggles to keep up; Hanzo watches as if it were a dia show as Cassidy rams his elbow into the other Alpha’s side and whirls around, his meaty fist connecting with the man’s jaw and ostensibly breaking it in one clear swipe.

He’s on him, pressing him down into the ground with his body weight and smashing his fists into whatever body part he can find, though mostly ramming them into the other Alpha’s face.

Hanzo watches as more people appear on the video feed. It takes five more Alphas to pull Cassidy off the now motionless man on the ground. There’s a lot of blood pooling around his head and dripping from Cassidy’s bruised up knuckles.

Hanzo’s tongue is pressed against his bottom lip. He’s leaning forward, just staring at the sight of Cassidy with his long unkempt hair sticking to his face. The expression he’s wearing looks so much unlike his usual self that Hanzo can feel nausea trying to creep in on the desperate puppy need clawing at his insides.

This… hatred and disgust as he spits on the bloody pulp of a man and lets himself get dragged away by the others without a fight. Just before he leaves the screen completely, Hanzo can see him go limp; like he’s just submitting himself to whatever is going to come.

He’s left scrambling to try and find the cameras with which he can watch where they’re bringing him. What they’re doing with him; all the while his head is filled with the white noise of him wondering once again how this can be. How he can let himself be made the bottom of the barrel of this gang of fuck ups when he can do that to a man in a couple of seconds.

Cole is so damn tired, he can barely understand his own broad drawl as he stands next to the bed and brushes a hand over Hanzo’s head, trying to keep him awake and lucid.

Hanzo cracks one eye finally open and peers up at him. He does not look like he quite understands what is happening or even recognizes Cole but when Cole tells him to be a good boy and get his ass moving, he does start to push himself up onto his hands and knees.

“Where’s my collar?” he asks slow like molasses. There’s a bit of a whine in his voice that has Cole smiling despite himself.

Always a princess in every damn situation.

“I put it on the side table, babydoll. Gotta make sure you’re nice an’ healed up before puttin’ it on again.” He tugs on Hanzo’s arm, slowly starting to feel a bit more alert himself.

When his sub finally stands in front of him, he stares at his bite for a moment, belly growing tight and warm… then pulls Hanzo into an embrace because he’s a big old sap before anything else.

It takes a moment or two for the action to register to Hanzo, but eventually he moves his arms around Cole’s hips, squeezing back gently. It’s not something Hanzo would do just normally but it seems being loopy on whatever a mating bite is doing to his system mellows him out considerably.

He is just pushing his face against Cole’s throat and nuzzling it, nose dragging against the place where a return bite would go, when Cole pauses and lightly grabs him by the back of his neck.

“You know…” he starts, mouth a bit dry but chest full of determination. “Wouldn’t be fair if you were the only one with a bite, don’t ya think?”

Hanzo doesn’t react at first so Cole keeps going to make it easier for his mushy brain to understand: “I’d love if ya bit me too, Hanzo.”

Hanzo pulls his head back and peers up at him, his eyes squinting in a funny way. He blinks slowly and when he opens them back up again, he looks… a lot more alert. Pushing away from his chest, he looks him up and down in a way that makes Cole feel weirdly scrutinized. Like Hanzo actually has the gall to wonder whether Cole is up to snuff to be bitten by him.

This mean little…

“I won’t bite you when you’re this filthy,” he says. His speech is still a little slow and soft around the edges but there is a lot more energy to his movements as he grabs Cole by the wrist and pulls him toward the tiny bathroom attached to their rooms. “Come. I have to wash you before. I won’t bond to an Alpha reeking of cum and sweat. You are disgusting.”

Overwhelmed, Cole stumbles after him, unsure what the fuck is happening right now. He stands off to the side like a little boy watching as his sub draws him a bath. He somehow manages to stand upright while in the shower stall cramped in there with Hanzo who looks more alert and intent by the second. Getting into the bath is a different beast altogether. He almost faceplants as he has trouble getting his feet up far enough but Hanzo grabs him by the hips and steadies him at the last moment, already sitting in the tub.

Hanzo touches his lips to the spot, slowly dragging them across his skin. In the bathroom it is a lot more difficult to smell anything at all but whenever he gets a bit of a whiff of his partner, he can only smell Alpha.

The little fake heat has run its course and for now, Hanzo is just pure Alpha which is… also pretty good. Pretty damn hot, even. Pre’s Consorts AU - Omegaverse (Main Post)

Pre knew he could get his new consorts a few days to get settled before the Council harassed him about mating them. A week at most, and that would be pushing it. They wanted their Mand'alor's mates bonded and quickly heavy with children. They were still upset that Jango hadn't given him any. The week had passed, quicker than Pre would have liked. Anakin and Rex were far from settled, though.

He only gathered his most trusted advisors and companions to witness the bite, and knocked at Jango's door. He didn't wait for him to open, but talked through it. 

"It's Pre. I'm bonding with Anakin and Rex in a few minutes, in the green room. If you want to be there for them." He turned on his heels, and made his way to said room. Both omegas were seated on stools, clinging onto each other's hands. Ka'ra, but they smelled terrified. It churned his stomach. His friends were there, grim-faced and serious. They had medical supplies ready, and the True Mandalorian medic Jango saw. They let go of each other's hands when he entered the room, and it didn't take long for Jango to arrive. He had a thunderous expression, his scent letting know just how much he hated the situation, and he glared at Pre before going to the two omegas and scenting them, trying to soothe them. "Can I use the Force to dampen Rex's pain, Mand'alor?", Anakin asked, bowing his head respectfully - fearfully, Pre's mind supplied. "Of course", he replied, relieved that they had a way to lessen the pain. He still remembered how awful it had been with Jango. It haunted him. Anakin moved, kneeling in front of Rex, and took his hands on his, squeezing tightly. Pre moved, stepping behind the clone, and gently tilted his head aside, baring his scent gland. Fear pulsed in the air, thick and cloying, and Pre gently nuzzled him, scenting him in an attempt to soothe. He licked at the spot he would bite, and didn't give himself time to think about it anymore. No, he bit down, sinking his fangs into muscle and down to the gland, piercing it. Rex's whole body locked up, seizing, but he didn't wail nor thrashed, Anakin holding him firmly. The pain in Rex's scent was far more muted than Jango's had been, which told Pre whatever Anakin was doing worked. He lapped at the bloody bite, instinctively trying to soothe it, and Rex let out a pained whine. The taste of blood on his lips and tongue was nauseating, but he pushed it down and wiped his mouth, stepping away to let the medic work. Rex got a painkiller shot, and another to avoid infection - it was rare, but it could happen- before thoroughly cleaning, disinfecting and bandaging the wound. Rex's eyes were drooping from the painkiller already, strong stuff - he wasn't repeating the mistakes he'd made with Jango. Two of Pre's most trusted verde, omegas themselves - though the beskar'gam hid that - took Rex, bringing him back to his bedroom to sleep off the drugs.

Anakin was left there, still kneeling on the ground, trembling slightly, though he controlled himself enough to not let fear into his scent. Jango nudged him and he sat up, onto the stool. The older omega scented him thoroughly, crouching by his side and baring his own neck in an attempt to comfort him. Anakin took deep breaths there, and glanced at the medic. "Don't bother with the painkillers", he said, sounding strained. "That doesn't work nearly long enough on Force-users. I can take it." Jango frowned, clearly unhappy, but held him tight. That left a sour taste in Pre's mouth, however. "And the Force? You can't do what you did for Rex?" Anakin bit his lips. "It requires a lot of focus. If it's as painful as Jango said it would be, I won't be able to focus enough." Pre's blood ran cold at the thought. Ka'ra, but he was torturing his mates. For a second, he thought he really would sick up. "I'm sorry", he whispered when he stepped close, for Anakin's ears only - and maybe Jango, given how close he was. Anakin used a clip to pin his hair aside, baring his neck submissively. Pre wanted to mouth and nip at the exposed skin, lave it with his tongue and suck it until his pretty omega was screaming in pleasure. Anakin wouldn't want that, though. So he settled for a gentle nudge, a lick, and Jango's scent bathing him. It would have to do. He curled his lips, exposing his fangs, and bit down hard, holding on as Anakin screamed and thrashed, pinning him down so he didn't tear himself further on his teeth. Pain shot through his mild scent - Pre was about sure him and Rex were on suppressants, their scents far too mild for fertile omegas in their prime - settling bitterly on his tongue, burning his nose. He held on until the scream tapered off into heavy sobs, the young omega close to passing out from the pain. Slowly, he let go, and Jango growled at him, making his skin crawl. He drew back, letting his consort lick at the bite in his stead,  holding Anakin tight as he all but crumbled. Pre burst out of the room, and still nearly didn't make it to a fresher before sicking up. He breathed through it, but he could still taste blood and pain and fear, and he felt like it would never come off his skin. A burning shower that left his skin raw barely dampened the impression, and it was all he could do to go back to his room and crawl into the den he'd made for himself in what was supposed to be a walk-in closet. There, he curled up, muffling his whimpers in blankets bathed with his own scent. It wasn't as comfortable as an omega's nest, but no alpha den was when they didn't let their omegas in. It would have to do. He clutched the soft, threaded blanket to his chest - the one that once belonged to his mother, but her scent had been gone from it years ago. He could only hope they would forgive him. He certainly couldn't.

Anakin very nearly passed out from the pain, clutching desperately at Jango's shoulders as pain throbbed from his neck and into his whole body. He still nearly bit off the medic's fingers when they came too close. "Udesii", Jango whispered, letting his scent out. "Let them look at you. We need to stop the bleeding." Anakin went to nod, but stiffened as pain shot through him and bit back a whimper. The advisors filed out of the room, leaving Anakin with Jango and the medic. They were quick and assured as they treated the wound, and Anakin simply focused on breathing through it. That was when he started to feel floaty and faint, and he breathed easier as the pain receded. "Osik", the medic swore. "Jango, help me. That syringe, quick." "What's happening?" "Pain-triggered heat", the medic growled. "We have two minutes to stop it from setting." Jango felt his heart stop for a second, at the thought of Anakin going into heat like that. Thankfully, they got the shot ready in time, and his temperature went down. The medic's hands were trembling, but they looked up to Jango. "This never happened", they said, and Jango nodded. "Never", he promised, gently brushing Anakin's hair back. The young omega blinked, hazed and confused. "You're alright", Jango whispered, holding him tight. "Udesii. Go to sleep.
