Tumblr users: A few days ago I was messaged by user dishockeylyfe who spoke to me under the guise of at first a friend, then as perhaps interested in more than that, then as you can see, what he truly wanted. I had my suspicions from his choice of words, but not wanting to judge anyone too quickly, I responded with neither encouraging or discouraging answers. He still continued to prod me for video communication, which I repeatedly said no to, until he angrily left. He went from being a seemingly sweet, interesting person, to quite frankly a douchebag who doesn’t know the meaning of “no.” You can see how he responded when I refused to play into his hands, which is typical of embarrassment and anger. And after this post hopefully he is pretty embarrassed.
I’m very glad that I’m not the type of person who would comply to this type of treatment, and who knows what to do in these situations. I just hope that he’s learned some margin of a lesson.
People of Tumblr, I don’t ask for my posts to become popular, but I’d like this to go out as a warning. Not only for Matt B., dishockeylyfe, but for the Internet in general. While its a beautiful place to meet incredible new people and friends, it’s still dangerous. Please be cautious, be a good judge of character, and trust your gut instincts.

The World of Matt B. // Indstruktibl
My excitement is growing as I anticipate the release of my short documentary with Indstruktibl. I feel blessed that the founder and CEO of Indstruktibl, Chad Addie, reached out and asked if I would be interested in being interviewed; so of course I jumped at the opportunity. The interview was filmed a few weeks ago, and my anticipation is mounting. While I have done several interviews in the past, nothing has been as exciting as this one. I had the chance to speak uncensored about my life and what being an artist means to me. No stone was left unturned and no topic was off limits. The video is now in its final stages of editing and will be released at 7:00 p.m. this evening (June 18, 2013). I am definitely looking forward to sharing this part of my life with my fans and hearing all of your feedback.
Shortly after the interview, I was contacted by his company and was asked if I was available to meet with them to discuss sponsorship. While this is still a work in progress and nothing has been set in stone, there are some really big things on the table involving Matt B. and Indstruktibl. Considering that the Indstruktibl brand is more than just a clothing line, one could only imagine the types of proposals that will and have been offered.

The World of Matt B. // “The Other Side” Project
It’s almost been a week since the release of my new music video “The Other Side”, and I must say that I am pleased with the feedback that I have been receiving so far! Many of my fans have approached me via Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to tell me that they love the track and that the video was brilliantly done. As an artist and the producer of my own videos at Matt B. Productions, this makes me extremely happy and proud. I am thrilled to have such a supportive and active fan base. You all are my motivation and the driving force behind Matt B. Production. Without you, this show goes nowhere!
Promotions are going very well and I’m excited to see the growth of the “Other Side” music video over the next few weeks. We are pushing all three versions of the track: The R&B, Club, and DJ versions.DieterStemmer, owner and founder of Sounds United Records in Germany, told me that all three songs have great potential to be hit records; especially out there in Germany. It is very common for there to be several remixes to one track over there, so hopefully the “Other Side” remixes will fit in perfectly. Could you imagine Matt B. in Germany? Wow! That’s a very cool thought. But I probably shouldn’t get ahead of myself. Who would have thought that when I decided to do this collaboration withFrozen Skies four months ago that it would turn into something this big? Having the opportunity to work with a record label internationally doesn’t happen on a daily basis, that’s for sure.
Of course, all of the promotions for “Other Side” and working with a record label in Germany does not slow down Team Matt B.. We currently have several projects in the mix for the upcoming months. I can’t spill many details just yet, but let’s just say that between several cover songs, writing my own original tracks, and filming several new music videos, I have my work cut out for me. It’s going to take a lot of long days and sleepless nights, but I am willing to put my best foot forward. Some times I wonder if I will ever get any sleep, but I guess I can do that when I die.
