Like I’ve said before XX REVOLUTION is such a big collection i decided to split a lot of the posts up otherwise I’d be writing a Harry Potter length blogpost about all the products so today we’re gonna chat about some newer products I’ve become a bit obsessed with.

So first up we have the XXtasy Blush Palette Overload £16.00, which is also my first ever cream blush palette FYI! This palette is made up of 6 cream blushers and highlighters which give you the perfect natural glow. These shades are a gorgeous buildable pigment that melt perfectly into the skin giving you a real natural glow . This palette features a collection of champagne, rose golds and light bronzes shades which I didn’t think would all suit my skin type since I’m so fair but actually because they also blend so beautifully, definitely been converted to a cream blush now.

Next up we have the Xpectation Eyeshadow Palette XXpectation, £18.00. This palette contains18 boujee shades in a gorgeous luxurious velvet case. These shadows are really unique to Revolutions previous releases and you can tell the quality of the shadows have become even more pigmented, easier to blend and even bigger colour stories which has made me fall in love with them all even more now. The website describes the eyeshadows as “ coated in lux embossed velour that matches the rich colour story inside” which is hella accurate. This palette is so pigmented and its a gorgeous collection of matte and shimmer shades. The collection of palettes comes in various shades and this particular one is more the pink nude kinda vibe palette which I’m such a fan of. It’s essentially all my favourite tones in one palette.

Lastly I picked up the Quick Fixx mattifying face powder, £8.00. I love a mattfying powder and genuinely go through them like oxygen so when i saw this powder i had to pick it up, because first off I needed a new powder and second of all the packaging is insane!! Revolution mattify powders have always been my holy grail go to powders because you can instantly see a difference and yet they don’t cake your skin up which is so hard to find these days.

And there we have it! The next part to my XX REVOLUTION haul/ order. Their website has just restocked loads of products to check then out while stocks last!!!

Make Up SOS: Broken Pressed Powder

How annoying is it when you drop and break your pressed powder compacts?! I used my birthday money to buy my Urban Decay De Slick Mattifying Powder* which took me months to get hold of because it is so popular and always out of stock. Only to have discovered I'd broken it in my handbag.

But fear not, follow my quick and easy guide on how to bring your broken powders and blushes back to life!

1) Cover your compact or makeup container with cling film and by using the back of a spoon or your fingers crush all of the powder.

2) Pour enough Surgical Spirit/Rubbing Alcohol into the powder to make it into a smooth paste. Only a few drops are needed. Start slowly, adding more as you go. 

3) Cover the container with cling film again and smooth out the paste with your fingers. Aim for a flat surface, it won't be as perfect as when you first got your pressed powder but at least you can achieve a smoother finish.

4) Voilà! Leave your new pressed powder uncovered overnight for the alcohol to evaporate and set, and you're done. It's as easy as that.
