alex: (crosstalk) i’d do both.

matt: (crosstalk) i’d go- yeah yeah yeah.

interviewer: at the same time, if you’d like.

matt: (crosstalk) yeah no, it’d look like- yeah, no that’s what i mean, i get excited by that. snog ‘em and then punch ‘em.

alex: (mimes pouncing)

nick: any one, ‘cause that’s gonna finish the night for a long time, bruv.

matt: don’t know who, though. eh… (blows raspberry) not [inaudible]...

matt and alex: (look at each other, then look away and lick their lips)

matt: i don’t know, i don’t wanna punch anyone.

interviewer: (crosstalk) anyone you'd like to snog?

matt: unless absolutely necessary. heh, no, i don’t wanna punch anybody. um, or kiss anyone tonight, actually. ‘s just one of them days. just woke up and thought, “i'm not gonna kiss anyone today. or punch anyone.”

interviewer: [inaudible, cut off]

alex: which is lucky because normally the days- that’s your waking thought.

matt: yeah. i’m not gonna kiss anyone or punch- it’s never one or the other, it’s always both.

Summary: As much as he wants to let Jamie take everything at his own pace, Jesus Christ, he's only a twenty-one year old getting his first hummer from a bloke. Of course he's kind of losing his mind.

Summary: He rolls his head to the side to look at Alex, and fireworks go off in his chest, quelling in a moment any worry he had in his head that he were falling out of love with Matt, and then it hits him that he is a little bit up shit creek. "Fuck," Alex mumbles, because words are fuckin' hard, alright. Matt nods. He gets it. Always fuckin' gets it, don't he. "S'not like I meant to go and fall in love with Miles Kane, is it."

home for the holidays - arctic monkeys (mattlex preslash or gen)

Summary: November passes in a quiet blur of introspection, and before Alex even notices it's December he's getting texts. His parents, first, asking if he'll be in for Christmas, and then Nick and Jamie just wishing him a happy one, and then, finally, Matt, around December tenth, telling him that he's expecting him over 'cause he asked his parents, already.
