I was wondering... have you ever considered writing a master!anakin padawan!obiwan AU?

I have thought about it! But... I’ve always set it aside for two reasons. 

First, and foremost, my deep and abiding love of the fanfic Master Mine by l_tales. I can’t imagine writing it differently, and so I don’t feel the call to go there. It’s too good, and has made me feel like I’ve got sunblindness. 

Second, is archetypal Erastes/Paidika stuff. 

My brain lights up in a big way when Obi-Wan mentors and teaches, when he protects and guides. Obi-Wan is so competent, and that works for me. I love his personality as a padawan but.... like, fuck man. I want a slightly older man with a neat beard and a posh accent to take personal responsibility for my health and wellbeing.

Is that a personality flaw of mine? Probably. Can I fix it? Negatory. 

Anakin does a good job mentoring Ahsoka, and don’t want to knock him as a teacher, but he feels like my stubborn, foolish, daring, emotional self, the part of myself that wants my Obi-Wan. Anakin’s the Student. He’s got that ~hot mess~ energy.
