I’m still buzzing from last night’s game, it was sooo much.

an unexpected win against a great offensive team (who have some of the most annoying dude fans alive)! a lead the whole game! a soft serve ice cream on a Monday night! a rare Ben Meyers goal on his archnemeis Freddie Andersen! multiple compliments on my boots & Winterhawks jersey (go hawks forever 🦅)! the killer dad rock playlist!

there’s been a lot of deserved chatter about Melly and Riggy’s game, but one person I haven’t seen talked about was Cale Fleury — we were in section 21 and had a front row view to how he was PARKED in front of Joey on every one of his shifts, just blocking shots and cross checking the fuck out of every Cane who got too close to the crease. I was obsessed. like, where did our jovial cozy sweater model healthy scratch guy go?!

I’m still not convinced we’re going to make it through this week with Riggy on the roster but it’s nice to see Cale and Muzz ready to fill the holes. and Lindgren hopefully back soon as well!
