On the nature of this blog

(( This blog was started as a simple ask blog for the Mayor of Can Town. For 413 this year I wanted to do something special and so I started MAYORSTUCK, ending the series of panels by asking "What will you do?" and enabling answers. This quickly became the most reblogged post within a week of posting it and I got a quick flood of answers and possible commands for PAWN AGENT 413. I couldn't help myself and I selected one and drew out the prompt.

I think I'd like to continue this little adventure so long as I keep getting prompts and I guess what I'm trying to ask is should I?

Since each prompt people give me would take the story in a different direction and each time I answer a question I ask for a new prompt, I could only answer one question instead of every single one like I like to do with normal asks.

Another question is should I continue with normal asks as well or just focus on MAYORSTUCK? Either way I'd like to at least finish off the asks I have left in my box.

You have no idea where you would find ARMS. Oh but look. This fellow seems to know what's going on. Maybe you could ask him.

Well, would you look at that. You didn't even have to ask. The Arms Representative has brought a box of BATTLE ARMS for you and the other pawns to allocate to your STRIFE SPECIBUSES. There are generally two weapon types that the pawn class can wield: SWORDS and SPEARS.

The SPEAR has been moved to your STRIFE DECK.

While you wait, you admire your new SPEAR. You much prefer it to the other option of SWORD although you don't really know how to wield either. Truthfully, the idea of fighting doesn't appeal to you and you are starting to feel nervous about this whole thing.

A young pawn stands in the lab. It just so happens that today, the 13th of April, is this young pawn's cloning day. Though it was thirteen minutes ago he was given life, it is only now he will be given a number!

What will the name of this pawn be?

You have no name, just your cloning number, which happens to be PAWN AGENT 413. As was previously mentioned it is your CLONING DAY which isn't all that unual since it is also the cloning day of several other pawns. A number of CLONES are standing about the lab, waiting for orders. While you wait with them, you think about your variety of INTERESTS that you are already starting to develop. You have a passion for GLANCING AROUND AND BLINKING AT EVERYTHING. You like to glance and blink at your fellow clones to make friends with them, but you are NOT VERY GOOD AT IT. You have a fondness for, uhh, THE SHINY FLOOR TILES, you guess, and are an aspiring...an aspiring...You have no aspirations what so ever at this point in your life. You were just cloned 13 minutes ago so you haven't had much time to really think about your options. Maybe you want to become a BUTCHER or a BAKER or a CANDLESTICK MAKER or a MAYOR. Really the possibilities are endless. YOU CAN BE ANYTHING YOU WANT!
