The Scarcity of Black Condors
L-R Tuhlo (Aarakocra - Sorcerer- Storm Sorcery), Kint'l (Aarakocra-Fighter- Psi Warrior); Grey (Kenku - Wizard - School of Transmutation).
In DC comics there have been at least three characters named Black Condor; including one a golden Age hero and two Indigenous legacy characters.
I thought this was a neat idea to team up a Kenku (as the golden age Condor, who was not Indigenous) with two True World Aarakocra. In the Forgotten Realms, both are said to be descendants or creations of one of the creator races, the Aearee, from ancient times.

DC comics – especially in the 90s – can be at their best when dealing with Legacy characters. Legacy characters have taken up the mantle of

Forgotten Realms’ Maztica
When Forgotten Realms first came out back in the late 80′s, I didn’t bother picking it up since I had created my own worlds and had tons of notes and adventures for it and I didn’t need someone Else world to go forth and have some great adventures.
When the sourcebook Maztica hit the stands in 1991 it was one book that I needed to get since it was dealing with the “New World” and exploring this new realm full of “savages” and “flying snakes”. I adapted Maztica to my campaign world changing very little except names and a few things along the way to suit my campaign world. I must admit it was a pretty good source book of material, worlds and adventure ideas and I spent many a nights at the game table as players explored this new realm.

Forgotten Realms Alternate Dimensions Issue 7 is now available. The list of contents is as follows: Alternate Dimensions Presents: Maztica The Watch Lineup Welcome to the Jungle: Cult of the Viperhand Deities With a Difference: The Masked Lady Deities With a Difference: Qotal Welcome to the Jungle: Maztican Beastmen Welcome to the Jungle: The Jaguar Knights and Eagle Knights Deities With a Difference: Zaltec There are a few articles created from a collaboration between myself and T.J.Hild. The Masked Lady was developed with considerable help from T.Sammarco. Finally K.Fabacher has provided a writeup of a recurring villain from his own campaign called the White Widow that features in The Watch Lineup. As always if anyone wants to get involved with articles of their own, or proof reading, or artwork, or any other skills they have then I would be glad of the help. If anyone has any feedback that would also be greatly appreciated, and finally if anyone wants to contact me about any of the above then message me with your email address and we can talk.
Chaneque
Because fair-folk have cultural origins around the world, I thought I'd tackle both the Mesoamerican monster request and culturally aware monster at the same time.
"Chaneques (pronounced Tcha-NE-kays) are mischievous earth sprites whose pranks are often deadly to their victims. A chaneque can be a danger or just a nuisance, depending on whether or not its whims are satisfied.
All chaneques are male. No one knows whether they reproduce by magic or are just humanoids afflicted with some foul curse. A chaneque’s true form is humanoid in shape, but it can assume animal form at will. In its natural form, its skin is dull gray in color, and its hair and beard are black.
These mischievous fey like to dance, play games, drink, and build things. Due to their impatience and capricious nature, however, they make better destroyers than builders. Chaneques are sometimes found serving a more powerful being, but not for long.
Chaneques are cowardly by nature. They’d rather flee than fight, and if pressed to do battle, they usually prove to be weak combatants. They are well aware of their own shortcomings, so they usually resort to magic and trickery to defeat their opponents."
