Do you still watch and enjoy MCC?

I still enjoy MCC when I get the chance to watch it, but people in the mcyt fandom (mainly people from Dream SMP side of things and fans of streamers who participated in that smp) are driving me insane with their increasing hate reactions each time teams are announced.

Like there are only 40 slots each MCC, people have to rotate out. If it was the same 40 streamers everytime, the competition would have become stale extremely quick! And people don’t seem to understand this! Nor do people seem to understand that these streamers have lives and cannot participate all the time.

I saw the announcement for MCC 35 and instead of the comments being filled of hype for teams and people having to choose who they will be watching like it used to be, it was just filled with “where’s so and so?” And “oh so and so isn’t in this one, guess there’s no point in watching” and more comments along those lines.

I fully understand if your main streamer isn’t participating and has in the past, there might be some disappointment, but there’s still 40 perspectives to watch, there has to be someone you could potentially enjoy playing. Part of this competition is getting to discover, experience and enjoy streamers you don’t typically watch interact with each other! It’s about community! That’s why there’s options for teams to sign up for “fun” and for “competition” cause it’s not all about the competition, there’s layers!!

People were mainly complaining about there being no Wilbur, Ranboo, Philza, Aimsey, Tommy, Tubbo, Guqqie, or Jack, with a few complaining about no Grian. Some of these streamers, like Ranboo, stated that they were done playing in MCC (saw some people saying Philza has also quite but I couldn’t find anything about it) and so you shouldn’t expect them on the teams, for they are moving away from MCC. Others, like Wilbur, have lives outside of being streamers and cannot dedicate the time every month to play.

This used to be a time of fun and bringing different areas of mcyt together for friendly competition, now with each new MCC, all I see is complaining. What happened???
