This week Principal Schuester has decided to spice things up a bit and it’s going to be mentor week! This means that every faculty member has been paired up with a student (given the ratio every faculty member has more than one mentee). The goal of this week is to have some sort of f2f interaction between the mentor or mentee (this can be a para, a normal dash interaction, whatever you want) and the mentee has to do one of three things, if they are in a glee club they will sing a song that their mentor sang during their time in the glee club. Their mentor wasn’t in Glee? No problem! Then your character will just perform a song where they take their mentor’s advice into account when choosing a song, and if you’re mentee is not in a glee club then they are advised to just do some sort of self-para (can also be a diary entry) where they take that advice into account (or not into account). You will have the entire week to work on this and as always have fun!

If you do a Glee task tag it as #mckinleyglee and throw it in the task channel on discord and if you do a self-para/journal entry do the same thing except tag it as #mckinleytask!

Due to having Heathers come up in the next couple of weeks, I’ve decided to give everyone an easy task so you’re still doing something for your character development and to keep you busy when you’re not doing replies. Thanks to our lovely members, I decided to let you all vote on what task to do and it was mainly unanimous with eight of our members voting for a general moodboard! Now I’m assuming mainly everyone has probably made a moodboard before since they are pretty common tasks in RP’s, but in case you need some references HERE is a link to what moodboards typically look like and HERE is a link to where you can find gifs! And as usual, I’m always here to answer any questions you may have.

Keep in mind tasks are always optional, you’re not required to do them by any means but it can help with character development and allow us to see how you view your character or give us better insight on how they act. And as always, remember to tag your moodboards with #mckinleytask and to throw it in the tasks channel on Discord!

We can learn a lot from opening up someone’s Apple Music or Spotify account and scrolling through their playlists. We see what music they like, possibly even the kind of person they are through that music, and in a performing arts school like this it seems only necessary the students and faculty at WMHS would have some good tunes on their playlists.

So this week our task will be making playlists! Remember, tasks are not a requirement but they are great for character development! Playlists will be due on March 9th and be sure to tag it #mckinleytask and to throw it in the tasks channel on the Discord chat once you’ve posted it!

Since we had a pretty wordy task last week, I figured I’d chill our brains but still have some fun character development with everyone’s favorite tasks: ASK MEMES! The task is to send 2-4 asks to each member in your group just so everyone has a decent amount of questions to answer and then you will answer your own questions in character. HERE is a link to some ask memes so you have some examples to use or go off of when asking questions.

Please remember that for this task you will need your askbox on as well as you will need to have anon turned on so people can send anonymous asks. Once you have sent in your asks to members in your group (for both of your characters, if you have multiple) please like this post so I can keep track of who’s sent in asks and those who have not.
