Just had a thought. The plot synopsis of “Deadpool & Wolverine” says that the two of them are given a mission by the TVA that will change the history of the MCU. Obviously, that could mean rewriting the canon so that mutants can exist in the universe. But I’m thinking, what if it’s also the tone? Because Marvel Studios is clearly comfortable with the movie being a solid R-rating.
Also, think about it like this; Deadpool and Wolverine altering the timeline allows for an in-universe, retroactive explanation for why the Netflix Marvel shows (and the rest of Marvel Television) are both canon and don’t clash with the rest of the MCU. How can Netflix Marvel - which has scenes like the Punisher gouging someone’s eyes and Kingpin decapitating some guy with a car door - exist in the family friendly MCU? Because Deadpool and Wolverine altered the fabric of space and time and infected it with their edginess.
So, not only do the older Marvel Television shows get more wiggle room to be in the MCU, future Marvel movies/shows can also go darker, which works for characters like Moon Knight and Blade. If that really was the plan, then this was a GREAT use of Wade and Logan.
What happened to the Young Avengers fans online who were big mad with Joe Locke's casting and thought Billy was being made too effeminate?
I don't do the Twitter so I don't know, have they calmed down? Do they still think a gay superhero can't be heroic if they are also a bit sassy?

Normal Days Are Nowhere To Be Found Masterlist
-PART ONE-
Today is going to be a good day. Today is going to be a good day. Today is going to be a good day.
You decide that you were going to push that “feeling of offness” deep down where there is no sign of light. There are some things that you could control, you just had to focus on them.
“What do I want to wear today?” You asked yourself in the mirror.
Looking through the options in your closet, you settled on a Y/F/C striped shirt, and a pair of ripped jeans.
Good enough.
After slathering face wash all over your face, and brushing your pearly whites, you decided that it was finally bacon time!
You closed the Y/F/C door to your room, and started down the hall to the common room.
Wait. Peter is probably still asleep.
You two stayed up late last night for an impromptu study session/ platonic sleepover. And knowing Peter, he is almost definitely still sound asleep. And of course, holding the very prestigious title of best friend, it was your job to wake him up. Heehee.
I'm still thinking about how I would have rewritten Secret Invasion. A lot of people are saying it was bad because the CGI looked weird or whatever.
I think I didn't like the fight because I didn't know why it had to happen. Why does Nick Fury trust G'iah with this power? (We know she's Talos' daughter but we don't know exactly what her perspective is. She's somewhere between Gravik and Talos but never get her specific philosophy.)
I don't know why Nick Fury would assume she could beat Gravik, what it is about her that is special.
It actually would've made more sense for Nick to send Varra, since she has proven over the course of the show that she won't kill him. Their storyline at least has an arc. (Though why giving Gravik the same super powers still seems odd. What if he just got up and left and soon as she punched him? You'd have two OP Skrulls running around and no way to contain either.)
I don't see the larger plan. I don't don't know exactly when Nick Fury figured stuff out. I assume after Maria and Talos were killed.
Maria died just to make Gravik seem like a smart villain, but then later he's super dumb. Talos died to save the President but then the President is also dumb. If either death had more meaning then it would be less annoying, but still sad.
And I'd rather still have Talos and Maria than a super powered Emilia Clalre (no matter how much I like her from previous shows, I don't know who her character is).
Someone said the existence of Skrulls should have become public knowledge earlier on. I'm not sure if I feel that way. I thought the whole point was to keep it Secret and the ending kind of feels like Fury failed to contain it like he wanted to.
I'm not saying that it has to be a happy ending, but the end of the previous episode seemed to indicate that he was in control again. (The endings of each episode were manipulative, and I can deal with that if it's pointing the audience in the correct direction, I guess is what I'm saying.)
Mr. Deadpool sir, will I need to watch s2 of Loki to know what the fuck will happen in your 3rd movie? Because I do not want to lmao
Lemar Hoskins is a saint because if I saw MY bff getting beatup by the Dora Milaje, I'd simply bow my head and watch.
My dad and I are going through the MCU, chronologically
I’m not really into superhero movies (he is and wants me to see them) so overall the movies are “good but not something I’d rewatch” sorts
BUT
@martelldoran I do love Stucky ahhahahaaha we just watched Civil War and Steve’s love for Bucky just AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
So far my favorite superhero is Bruce but I mean, I think y’all know I love the mild mannered, innocent looking character who is super powerful and could destroy everyone *coughsSLRemuscoughcough*
My favorite movie is Captain Marvel with GotG2 behind it because the humor in that was great, Drax laughing at Mantis revealing whatshisface’s secret to Gamora was hilarious plus I really love Yondu’s character and yes I don’t remember the main guy’s name, I don’t care about him oops. Starlord. Whatever.
Also I love Loki and Thor’s relationship and banter it’s very entertaining.
I’m looking forward to Ragnorok strictly because I am a major Jeff Goldblum fan, and as for content besides an actor I am looking forward to Black Panther and Wandavision.
