requested by anon “Hello! Can you do a C!Dream Team x Fem!Reader where they all like her and Tommy notices and calls them out? Love your mc works <33″
summary tommy and the dream team find themselves together and far from home. as a harsh storm brews overhead, the only place they can go is to y/n l/n’s home, an ex of sapnap’s and friend to the other two dream team members. during their stay, tommy begins to notice several obvious violations of the bro code.
warnings swearing, mentions of injury, lots of jealousy and tension (but the funny kind)
note i made this draft BEFORE all of the allegations dropped and want to be completely clear that this is about the CHARACTERS and NOT THE PEOPLE. ‘cause fuck that guy, but i got a request to finally drop this fic and who am i to deny the people

somehow, tommy had found himself with the dream team. they wandered the world, far from any inkling of home, in search for safety. dark clouds were rolling across the sky, thunder rolling far in the distance. even just a forest would’ve provided enough shelter for them in their half-panicked, half-amused states.
when they finally came across a forest, there was a minor problem.
“why’s there just a line of concrete on the ground?” tommy questioned. the dream team all looked to each other before sapnap tackled tommy away from the solid line. “ow-! what the hell, man?!”
“don’t touch that line!” sapnap demanded with wide eyes, lifting himself off of the teen. “those who cross that line.. they suffer. they suffer a fate worse than death.”
“oh, come on,” dream wheezed as tommy brushed the dirt off of his clothes. “y/n is not that bad.”
“yes,” sapnap scoffed, “yes, she is! i stepped across the line on accident once and an arrow shot through my foot!” sapnap took off his boot and sock to reveal the indent of a scar through the top of his foot. tommy cringed while dream just rolled his eyes.
“she can be scary, i’ll give him that,” george spoke as sap slipped his footwear back on. “but i think she shot you because she doesn’t like you,” george giggled, dream snickering along as sapnap pursed his lips, his cheeks barely heating up with a blush.
“why doesn’t this woman like you?” tommy questioned with an amused smile.
“they used to date,” george explained through chuckles. “sapnap broke up with her because he’s scared of her.”
“i am not!” the boy defended over his friend’s laughter. “whatever! let’s just find somewhere else to take shelter..”
“dude, y/n owns this forest,” dream spoke, crossing his arms as the wind around them began to pick up. the slight humidity in the chill let them know the storm was getting closer. “we know this area; there’s not another safe place for miles. let’s just see if she’ll let us in.”
“she’s gonna leave me in the storm,” sapnap whined as they approached the solid line laid into the ground.
“at least the rest of us will be safe,” george teased. dream stepped into the territory first. when no arrows whizzed through the air, he signaled for every one else to follow. sapnap stayed close to his friends, eyes darting around the area as they walked through the dark shadows of the trees.
“is she, like, crazy or something?” tommy questioned as the wind continued to pick up around them. “sapnap’s shitting his pants right now.”
“y/n’s fine,” dream laughed. “she’s actually really cool. if she likes you.”
the blonde gave dream a look. “if?”
“i mean, look at sapnap.”
tommy nodded, looking back to the path ahead of them. “that’s fair.”
after a few more minutes of walking, they finally came across a large house in a clearing of the forest. tommy marveled at the prestigious dark oak building, the obvious craftsmanship shining through the outer walls and décor. “should we knock?”
“no,” dream sighed. “she knows we’re here.”
“what do you want, boys?” tommy looked around for the feminine voice that had spoken, but saw nobody around them.
“there’s a storm coming, y/n,” george called out. “can we stay until it passes? we won’t be a bother!”
tommy finally pinpointed her: a pretty girl standing on a balcony attached to the roof, head in her hand as she sighed down at them. her e/c eyes swept over tommy as fluidly as the wind was. “who’s the blonde boy?”
“tommy,” dream spoke for him. he nodded in affirmation.
“one of the l’manberg boys?” she questioned. she didn’t wait for an answer before sighing again, “alright. no wars in my house.” she leant back and flicked a lever and the heavy door swung open for them. they piled into the house just as she came down the stairs for a proper greeting. “evening, boys.”
“hey, y/n,” dream greeted, george waving kindly beside him.
“how long have you been wandering around the area?” she asked, tucking her hands into her back pockets. “i live a little far from the smp.”
“a couple hours,” sapnap offered.
she swept her gaze just barely over the man. “you’re still alive?”
tommy stifled a loud laugh as sapnap grumbled, avoiding y/n’s eyes, “good to see you, too, y/n.”
she didn’t react, just turning back to the other three with a half-smile. “hungry?”
...
the boys sat around while y/n prepared a nice meal for them, shedding off their armor and taking the time to relax as the rain began to fall harshly against the earth.
tommy had been scanning the map he had brought with him when he heard george speak in the distance, “need any help?” he peeked over to see george standing beside y/n in the kitchen, smiling kindly at the woman.
“i’m alright, george,” she brushed before giving him a smile in return. “thank you, though.”
“‘course,” he nodded before heading back into the lounging area they had all gathered in. tommy raised his eyebrow at the blush on george’s cheeks, but wasn’t able to say anything when him and the other boys began to speak quietly to each other.
y/n called them into the kitchen soon after.
“alright,” she hummed, beginning to set warm plates in front of them as they sat at her kitchen table. “salmon, salad, and corn is on the menu for this evening.” sapnap cringed. “and i know you’re weird about salmon, sapnap, so..” his face lit up when he saw the steak she set down in front of him.
“i-” he cut himself off when he looked at you, his cheeks heating up at the thought of whatever he was going to say. he looked back down to his plate. “thank you, y/n.”
“no problem,” she nodded politely. “eat up, boys.”
“are you not gonna eat with us, y/n?” dream asked as they all dug into their meals. a distant crash of thunder echoed.
the girl shrugged as she began to clean the pans she had cooked with. tommy noticed a plate set to the side, presumably her own. “i was going to let you boys have your time.”
“it’s your house, y/n,” dream snickered. “come eat with us.”
she offered a half smile before setting down the dishes and wiping her hands off. “you’re a convincing man, dream,” she sighed as she grabbed her plate, taking the empty seat between him and george. dream smiled.
“i know.”
she shook her head at him before redirecting her attention to tommy. “so tommy, how’s l’manburg?”
“it’s good,” tommy nodded after swallowing his flavorful bite of salmon. “we’ve had a population spike recently, so it’s been hectic, but we’re managing well.”
y/n nodded along. “you’re young, but you seem..” she picked at her food as she considered her words. “confident. that’s a good trait to have. maybe a result of having a good influence in your life.”
“my brother’s wilbur soot,” he clarified, noting how dream pursed his lips at just the name of the l’manburg president.
“ohh,” she hummed. “i know your brother. and your father, for that matter.”
“yeah,” sapnap backed up, eyes locked on his plate. “she knows your brother very well.”
y/n furrowed her brow at the black-haired man. “right.” she turned back to tommy after rolling her eyes at the lack of response from the annoyed man. “so you and wilbur built the nation together?”
“yes ma’am,” tommy nodded. “wilbur always told me that government provides a necessary stability in our lives. maybe he’s crazy, but..”
“he’s definitely crazy,” dream agreed and y/n sent him a glare as tommy rolled his eyes.
“well,” y/n continued, slowly peeling her glare from the masked man to look back to tommy, “that’s one place where wilbur and i disagree.” she shrugged as she stabbed at her food. “government seems like a scam to me.”
tommy furrowed his brow. “can i ask how?”
“governments always advertise the same line,” she spoke with hesitation, “‘by the people, for the people’. but that’s all forgotten when you realize that not all people are the same.” tommy pursed his lips when y/n busied herself with taking a bite of food, considering the brutal words.
“have you ever met my other brother?” he spoke instead of spewing the less kind words that came to mind.
she thought for a moment before shaking her head. “can’t say i have.”
tommy nodded, pointing his fork at her. “you’d like him.”
she let out a laugh, and tommy caught george’s lips quirk into a smile as he looked to the girl. “so, how is wilbur? it’s been a while since i’ve seen him.”
“can we not talk about him?” sapnap spoke abruptly, dropping his fork with a clatter to his plate. his eyes were shut with obvious annoyance.
y/n turned to him with raised brows as tommy’s gaze switched tensely between the two. george and dream seemed less than fazed. “you can try to argue, but you’re gonna lose,” she spoke calmly, eyes meeting with sapnap’s when he finally opened them again. the man clenched his jaw before pushing back his chair harshly and stomping out of the room.
y/n just sighed, turning to a frowning dream and a pursed-lipped george. “i know you guys don’t wanna hear either. go after him, ‘cause i’m not going to disrupt good conversation to appease other people.”
george immediately pushed away from the table, grabbing his half-eaten plate as he chased after his friend. dream pushed away slower, leaning down to kiss y/n’s cheek and mutter a, “i’m sorry and thank you,” before following george.
tommy blinked in surprise after they were gone. “i’m, uh..” he looked back over to y/n. “i’m assuming you had a thing with my brother?”
she shook her head. “no, i didn’t.” tommy raised his eyebrows curiously as she continued, “when i was still with sapnap, wilbur did ask me out. i said no, and we were still friends, but sapnap never let it go. honestly, i don’t know why he still hasn’t..”
“it seems like it bothers the others boys, too,” tommy noted.
y/n shrugged, taking a bite of her food. “those two.. are strange. i imagine they just became protective of me because i dated someone they’re best friends with.” the answer didn’t quite sit right with tommy.
“right..”
she gave him a look. “you think they’re in love with me, too.”
tommy immediately spoke through a mouth full of food, “too?!”
y/n snickered at his interest. “what, you think i could be oblivious to it all? no, sapnap and i dated for two years before he cut it off. dream and george have always been like that around me, even before we started dating. it’s like it’s always been a competition of who’s the least scared to approach y/n.”
“he cut it off?” tommy spoke with interest.
she nodded, leaning back in her chair casually. “every couple goes through a fighting phase. it’s usually toward the beginning of the relationship, like ours was, because you’re still learning how you and your partner fit together.” tommy nodded. “but the fighting phase should not last for a year.”
tommy’s jaw dropped. “A YEAR?!”
you chuckled at his expression. “some people just don’t mix. but we were trying really hard to, and it took a while to just accept that we just.. didn’t.” you shrugged when tommy frowned. “sure, it’s sad. at the end of the day, sapnap is a good guy and he’ll always have a place in my heart where i can remember the good of that relationship. but we hurt each other a lot more than we helped each other.”
just then, sapnap walked slowly into the kitchen, as if trying not to startle a flighty animal. “hey, y/n, the storm isn’t looking like it’s going to lighten anytime soon, and-”
“you can all take the guest room,” you cut in, your tone a tad sharper than it was with tommy. “but the second the storm lightens, get out of here.” you turned a sardonic smirk up to him, watching a blush erupt on his cheeks. “you're good at leaving after you get what you want, anyway.”
sapnap turned with a roll of his eyes, smartly keeping his lips shut, and you turned your smirk to an amused tommy. “still gotta give him hell for breaking up with me, though.”
“respect,” tommy nodded. as you took a few more bites of your food, he gathered the courage to ask, “so you haven’t dated the other two, have you?”
you let out a chuckle, but otherwise seemed unsurprised by his question. “no, those two are just friends. i can see where you got the thought, considering they act ridiculous around me, but we’re just friends.”
“doesn’t it bother sapnap?” tommy gossiped curiously. “or did, when you were together?”
you nodded as you took a sip of water. “oh yeah. they’re all bugged by each other’s interactions with me. but they’re like petty girls and don’t say a word about it.” tommy snickered as you shrugged. “that’s just how it’s always been.” tommy nodded, turning his gaze down to his plate. “so, how is wilbur?”
later that evening, the storm was showing no sign of lightening. fortunately, your guest room had two beds and a grand amount of blankets for the boys to work with.
“if you need anything, i’m down the hall,” you yawned as the men settled in, leaning on the doorframe. “i have an early morning, so if i don’t catch you before you leave, safe travels back to your places, boys.”
george latched onto you in a tight hug, muttering something into your hair that tommy couldn’t hear but made you smile. dream swept in next, turning his mask to press another kiss to your cheek, taking more time with this one. tommy nearly gagged as dream muttered something in your ear, hand lingering in a cradle on your chin. you turned to give tommy a half-smile as they stepped away.
“do good things, kid,” you spoke, gaze sweeping over him as it did when he first approached. “you’ve got it in you.” his chest warmed with a small swell of pride and gratitude.
“you have a friend in l’manburg if you ever decide to visit,” he offered with a smile.
“thank you,” you nodded, and he could tell you were biting your tongue at some smart comment. he appreciated the gesture. your gaze finally turned to sapnap, whose stare was as stony as it could be. “safe travels.” your gaze stayed locked on him as you straightened and disappeared down the hall, and tommy could always feel the lingering of that stare in the air. when he looked, sapnap was tomato red.
and the other boys just looked satisfied with themselves as they settled into their arrangements.
“what?” dream scoffed, and tommy realized he was shaking his head.
he scoffed back, “i have never seen a group of men break the bro code so much in the span of two hours. you’re like schoolgirls.” he watched the men’s faces all drop their satisfied looks just before he blew out the candle providing the main light in the room. “good night, losers.”
IMAGINE TOMMY BEING PROTECTIVE OF (AND SAVING) YOU WHEN THE EGGPIRE CAPTURES YOU
contains: gender-neutral!reader, platonic pairing, brief mentions of kidnapping, in game AU. (330 words)
authors note: found this draft in my google drive and decided to edit it and turn it into a short imagine. this was written back when the egg was speaking to people (before the red banquet and before tommy died).
You barely had enough time to register what was happening when both Badboyhalo and Antfrost appeared outside the construction site of Tommy’s hotel and started dragging the two of you towards the egg. Now the egg seemed to be speaking to you specifically but before you could even process what it was saying, Tommy had broken free of the obsidian prison they made in an attempt to contain him.
Tommy now stood with an arm outstretched protectively in-front of you as he glared at Bad. He had a smile on his face and motioned for Ant to lower his weapon before stepping closer to the pair of you. His expression dropped however when Tommy pushed you behind him.
“Tommy I understand why you’d be hesitant, but (Y/N) is their own person, they can make their own decisions.” Bad said, still trying to be closer to the two of you.
“Doesn’t stop me from making sure that egg never touches them- (Y/N) keep your suit on.” Tommy responded as he stepped back, careful as to not accidentally step on you or push you into the lava surrounding you two.
“I can assure you both that the egg will not harm anyone. You can trust us, trust the egg.” Bad spoke calmly.
“Yeah as if I’d believe that,” Tommy scoffed. “If the egg wants (Y/N) then it better go through me first.”
“Tommy no-”
“(Y/N), run.” He cut you off, shoving an ender pearl into your hand before throwing a potion down at Bad and Ants’ feet. “GO!” He shouted as he grabbed your hand and started running. You hoped that the potion would be effective enough so that you could both at least escape.
After reaching the surface again, you tightened your grip on his hand before throwing the pearl into the distance. By the time Bad and Ant had resurfaced, the two of you were already running back to the safety of Sam Nook’s construction site.
Hi love! How are you today? Also, I have a request for you. What do you think about, Platonic!Tommy x Reader, where they are bestfriends, and Tommy catches a cold, and gets all clingy with the reader, and ends up falling asleep in their arms. While he is asleep, reader goes live on insta, or tiktok, you choose, and “makes fun if him” for “not being clingy”. Just two best friends cuddling, ya know? 😅 (but nothing sexual)
Hello, hello dearest!
I am doing pretty well, I hope you’re doing well! And I genuinely love everything about this request - it’s too adorable! Sick!Tommy definitely needs all the bestie cuddles he can get :D So I hope I do this request justice and thank you so much for the request !! <3

(I wasn't sure if you wanted C!Tommy or CC!Tommy, so I went with CC!Tommy since the Content Creators are who I've been writing for, however I can rewrite this! )

You knew! You absolutely knew when Tommy told you about going to the water course, on a partially frigid day, something was going to happen, now look where he was… Acting like a whiny, snot-nosed toddler.
“Y/nnnnn,” Tommy’s voice trailed from your bed, making you shift in your seat to see the tall blond sprawled out against your covers, groaning and sniffling.
“Tom, if you get as one drip of snot on my sheets,” your warning - of course - fell to deaf ears as he sat up, groaning from what you could tell was the sinus pressure and headache. “Would you like me to turn off the lights?” You murmured, hoping to not agitate his ache more than it already was, however, he gently shook his head.
“No, but forget your stupid editing for two seconds and come ‘ere,” he all but coughed as you winced, hearing the rawness in his throat and with the soft lights you could see his eyes were slightly red and teary, as well as nose blushed red from blowing it. You couldn’t help the roll of your eyes as you pushed your chair back, shaking your head at your ill best friend with a tut. You flopped onto the bed, causing him to jump with the impact with an annoyed huff - glancing at you with a frown.
“That ‘stupid editing’ I’m doing is actually for your stupid channel, so watch it or I’ll corrupt all your files,” you bit, wiggling your fingers towards him, attempting to possible irritate him, but he just pushed your hand away and scooted back against your mountain of pillows with a groan. You laid next to him, pressing your shoulders together as you both stared at the dinghy ceiling.
“You wouldn’t dare,”
“Try me, big man,” you both broke into grins at the nickname as Tommy broke out into a fit of coughs, making you frown. Scooting closer, you wrapped him into a hug, not minding the warmth from his hoodie. He slumped into you, sighing as you both laid peacefully. It didn’t take long for Tommy’s snores to rattle you, blinking as you glanced at him - his mouth parted and a bit of drool sliding down his chin.
“Gross,” you rolled your eyes, grabbing your phone from it’s charging port with a wicked grin. Opening your phone, you maneuvered yourself to be comfortable with the weight of the lanky blonde boy in your arms as you clicked onto TikTok, grinning as you clicked the Go Live.
Viewers began to pour in as you glanced between the “hello” and “hi’s.” Since becoming one of Tommy’s few editors, and even jumping onto the bandwagon of streaming - you gained a following quickly.
“Hey, guys!” You whispered, keeping your voice a low hum as Tommy moved, somehow cuddling closer as you snickered, attempting to keep the phone steady on the two of you. “I’m a bit pinned down at the moment, so Tommy’s new video may take a bit to go out! But, how’re you all today?” You watched chat - catching a few ‘good!’ and ‘better now.’ You were thankful for the community you gained - yes, it may’ve been because your best friend was a well-known streamer, but you could care less! You were proud to be by Tommy’s side as he accomplished his biggest dreams, and you couldn’t be happier for him.
“Yes, Tommy is with me, chat - I know! Look at this absolute teddy bear! He’s like a child with a death grip on their mother’s arm!” You snickered, as the chat agreed adding a few ‘haha’s’ and laughing emojis as a few questions came in, leaving you to answer a few while adding a few jabs at Tommy for clinging to you when he always mentions how ‘big man’ and ‘macho’ he is. It was the perfect opportunity!
“I’ve known Tommy for awhile - we knew each other from when we were younger and sort of became inseparable,” you giggled, remembering how Tommy used to ask you for help to reach his juice cup or the cookie jar, but now you’re always asking for help from your tree-height best friend. “Plus, he’s the one that pushed me to get into editing and streaming - so we all have him to thank for pushing me out of my comfort zone.” You smiled as an annoyed groan came from beside you, making you freeze as chat began to spam ‘HE’S WAKING UP’ and ‘RUN Y/N RUN!!!’
Tommy moved to sit up carefully, his yawn even sounding scratchy as he coughed some, mindful to keep it away from you. He blinked, his eyes switching between your slightly widened eyes and the TikTok live stream, as well as chat still spamming for you to quickly book it while you still could.
“Y/n…” Tommy hummed with his hoarse voice, the scratch in it as you slowly began to sit up, moving to try and give yourself at least a small chance to run. “Why’re you live… On the TikTok community… Hm?” Each word came out a bit breathless as you could barely contain your grin, sitting up on one of your knees while your foot grazed the floor.
“Tommy, Tomathy, Tom Simons, Big Man, come on,” you giggled, moving your hands up to keep him back if he tried to grab you. “It’s nothing!”
Your persuasive argument - you really tried to get out of that one - didn’t work as he reached for you, only to be pulled off the bed as you leaned back to get away from him. A shout came from both of you as you landed on your thankfully carpeted floor - chat was spamming as you and Tommy groaned, laying in defeat beside one another as he reached over, ending your little live as you turned towards him, grinning.
“A TikTok live? Seriously?” Tommy groaned, dropping his head back against the plush carpet as you broke into a fit of giggles. “What?” He huffed as you wiped at a fake tear, gesturing towards his face as he frowned, reaching up and wiping away a thick line of drool that had clung to his chin.
Your soft laughter caused him to break out into a smile, joining in on the laughter as he rolled his eyes as you both held your sides, still laughing before you both settled into the soft flooring, your shoulders touching as you sighed, glancing outside. The sun had begun to set, leaving the room in a soft light - you knew Tommy had another vlog to do tomorrow with Jack, Tubbo and Ranboo. You turned towards him, smiling softly as Tommy glanced at you, still holding a bit of a frown.
“You’ve got a busy day tomorrow,”
“At least I’m not stuck editing,” he snickered as you punched his shoulder, making him cry out and rub at the wound.
“What the fuck!”
“I should make you edit your own vlogs, dickhead,” you groaned, moving to sit up as he followed your lead, huffing as he began to massage his temples. The reason why he came over suddenly came back to you.
“Shit, what’re you going to do about tomorrows’ vlog? You’re still sick,”
“I’m a big man, Y/n, I think I can handle a head cold-”
“Yeah, okay, not even half an hour ago you were whining and grumbling about your much your head hurt and how much you needed your best friend,”
“Aye! Don’t make me sound like a pussy!” He grumbled as you rolled your eyes, snatching your phone and flopping back onto your bed, going onto Twitter to see all of the screen records and clips your fans had gotten from your small live. Tommy sat on the floor glaring at you before standing, still glaring before attempting to climb over your comforted body.
“Tomathy!” You growled as he flopped back into his previous spot, snuggling into the comforting feel of your pillows and even your own warmth. It felt comforting for him to feel your precious, but he’s not a pussy so he’ll never admit it.
“Are you done?”
He side-eyed you, pursing his lips with a huff. Not answering as you rolled your eyes before returning to your hunt on Twitter. Tommy side-eyed you again, before scooting closer and watching a few of the clips with you. Tommy couldn’t hold back the scoff as there was a picture of him practically on top of you as you tried to speak to your chat.
“I am so sick of you,” he suddenly grunted as you glanced at him, rolling your own eyes while closing your phone and staring at the ceiling, once more that evening.
“I know you’re not, you can’t lie to your best friend, TommyInnit,” you scoffed as he sighed, closing his eyes as you felt your own body slowly become warm and comfy on your comforter, sighing as you and Tommy both began to drift asleep.
“You’re right.. But, I don’t see Tubbo here,” he mocked, his eyes still closed as you snapped open your eyes, frowning. You moved around some before snatching one of your smaller pillows and smacking it against his chest, causing him to yell out again.
“Now, I’M sick of you,” you huffed, settling in and closing your eyes as Tommy scoffed, as you two settled in, too tired for any more bickering and allowing you both to find comfort in your best friends arms once again - this time no lives, no chats, and no more annoying sniffles.

Summary: You and your best friend Tommy are touch starved
Word Count: 969
You sit next to your best friend Tommy as he edits, promising you that he’s gonna be done soon but your attention and interest declines by the minute. You scroll through your phone, flip through apps, doing everything to keep awake. Your tiredness overtakes you though, your head dropping onto Tommy’s shoulder.
You don’t notice at first, but when Tommy tenses you’re suddenly aware that you two didn’t always share physical contact. Not for any specific reason, just that neither one of you initiated it much in your friendship and therefore it never came to be.
So, when your head falls to Tommy’s shoulder, you both pause unsure of what to do. But after a quiet moment, Tommy’s head relaxes onto yours and you smile wide. You half expected the younger boy to shove you off of him but to have him reciprocate was something you didn’t expect.
“Lazy bitch,” he jokes and you lean forward, laughing loudly at the random outburst.
Tommy takes the opportunity to wrap a comfortable arm around your waist, pulling you as close as possible in the wheely chairs you were both sitting in. When you calm down from laughing, you relax back into Tommy, your head on his shoulder once more, and decide he can take as long as he wants editing.
The next day, you relax back in your room, a blanket covered over your figure as you lay in bed scrolling through Twitter and giggling mindlessly at stupid viral tweets. Your head sits comfortably on your pillow, one leg is stretched out while the other bends so your foot meets your knee.
Tommy didn’t feel like sitting alone at home anymore. He was bored and lonely and honestly needed a hug from someone. He didn’t say it often, not wanting to put attention on it or his feelings but he was touch starved, wanting affection but never knowing quite how to ask for it.
So, he decides to do the most him thing he can think of. He heads for your house, no text of warning, no call beforehand, just a call to his parents that he was going over to your house for a bit. When he gets to your front door, he hesitates to knock but proceeds despite his random nerves. Your mom answers the door, a smile wide on her lips when she realizes who it is.
“Hi, love! How are you?” she greets.
“Good thank you. Is (y/n) here?” he asks hopefully.
“She’s in her room. Go ahead.” she opens the door wider and lets Tommy in and he thanks her as he bounds up the stairs.
When he gets to his best friend’s bedroom door, he doesn’t bother to knock, swinging the door open and seeing you laying in bed scrolling through your phone. You look up to see Tommy standing in your doorway, confusion littered on your face.
“What’s up motherfucker,” he greets before making his way over to you and jumping onto your bed.
He lands on top of you, his head on your stomach and his body slotted in between your legs. He wraps an arm around your waist while the other falls down his side and he’s quiet after that.
“Hey bud,” you say with a smile evident in your voice.
You didn’t realize how clingy your best friend actually was. Tommy had never really said anything or done anything before but it was clear to you now the boy was just as touch starved as you were.
You run your hands through his messy curls and you can practically hear the hum in his voice at the action. You were starting to like this side of your best friend seeing as it had never come out before.
Tommy did not want to move from his bed for the day. There was nothing that could make him stream, edit, get on-call, leave the house, nothing. He just was not in it today.
You hated being in the house alone. Your parents had decided to go on a business trip and leave you in your empty house to fend for yourself for the last few days. It was boring and lonely and you honestly couldn’t take it anymore.
You decided to head for your best friend’s house, knowing that even if he was busy streaming or working you could help or join in some way to feel less alone. You make your way over there and when you knock on the door, his mom greets you.
“Hello darlin! How are you?” she says opening her arms for a hug.
You dive into her arms and pull away solely to answer her question and ask one of your own.
“I’m good! Is Tommy here?”
“Up in his room, love,” she says and you smile up at her before heading towards the blue-eyed boy’s room.
When you swing open the door, you spot Tommy half asleep on his bed and you smile widely.
“Hey, bitch,” you greet before practically running over to him and dropping yourself half on his bed and half on him.
You instantly wrap your arms around his torso, your legs wrapping themselves around his legs like a koala. You press your face into his neck and close your eyes, letting out a quiet sigh when you feel Tommy reciprocate your touch.
“Hey loser,” he responds and the two of you fall asleep like that.
From then on, it was a usual occurrence for you or Tommy to show up at the other’s house to cuddle and help out your mutual touch starved tendencies. No matter when you hung out even normally, your hands had to be interconnected, pinkies dangling together, heads on shoulders, arms around waists, hugs that lasted ages, everything. And neither of you would ever complain about it.
Hi 😈 anon!! I hope that this satisfies all of your conditions, and that there were enough sbi chaos for you…. though I think I stuck to Mr Blade a bit too much (to which I’d just like to apologize for :(() thanks again for requesting this! It’s been a lot of fun writing it (though I’m not gonna lie, the movie of choice really gave me so much freedom I really couldn’t choose which hence) hope you enjoy the fic! :D

There were a few unspoken traditions that took place every Friday evening.
It was a time where everyone within the SBI family would put down their work and rest to get together for their weekly movie night. Whether they were far away from home, busy with work, or doing some laborious, mundane task, their chores would be held on pause for that evening. And if, for some apparent reason, one is unable to physically attend the gathering, then they would all host it on a computer so that one could watch along.
As per usual, (name) was in charge of bringing the drinks to the weekly movie night. This was typically because (name) didn’t live with the formerly mentioned, nor were they a household member of the SBI despite being given the decision to move in with them. With a couple bottles and cans of assorted drinks in their tote bag, they unlocked the front door.
Walking in they were greeted by Techno, who looked like he was anticipating their arrival, and the sound of squabbling. ‘From Wilbur and Tommy, no doubt,’ (name) thought.
“Hey Techno, I assume we’re going to spend the next half hour arguing about which movie to play again?” They asked, handing a couple of cans and bottles to him.
The rhetorical question emitted a laugh from Techno. By the number of times (name) was invited over for their movie nights, arguing over the movies to show is a habit that never changes. At this point, it’s become such a common occurrence that it would feel weird if neither Wilbur nor Tommy bickered over which movie to screen.
“Ehh… it is what it is.”
“So, how are you?” (name) laughs as they hauls the bag of drinks over to the table near the bickering duo.
“We met up not even two days ago, I don’t think much would’ve changed since,” Techno rolls his eyes, “but s’alright, I’m doing well.”
Though their attempt to drown out the bickering in the background was futile as Wilbur turned his head towards (name) and Techno demanded for their input on the movie choice, which made them sweat, anticipating the flurry of questions that were bound to be sent their way.
“(name)! Tell Tommy that we shouldn’t watch Into The Spiderverse, because we always play it every movie night!” Wilbur exclaimed, pointing a finger to Tommy.
“We do not!! Stop exaggerating, Wilbur!” Tommy cried in retaliation, “(name), tell him that we aren’t watching the Fantastic Beasts Series because it’s shit!”
With a dramatic gasp, Wilbur quickly turned back to Tommy. A series of ‘how dare you’, ‘take that back’, and further incessant shouts of why either movies of choice is-good-and-should-be-watched-again, were exchanged. (name) quickly glanced between the two, their hands up to grab any stray jabs as they tried to break up the ‘fight’.
A wave of exhaustion soon came upon them as the two subconsciously ignored the peacemaker, trying to one-up the other with their playful insults. Letting out a heavy sigh, they took a step back seeing their fruitless attempt to settle down the squabble. They looked at the two with tired eyes, Techno right behind them, cracking open his beverage, enjoying the show.
“So how long has this been going for?”
“Uhhh, about twenty minutes or so, give or take.”
“..Rright. Where’s Phil? I thought he’d be here to break up this uh.. soap opera…”
“He’s microwavin’ some popcorn,” Techno took a big gulp from his drink, “wait, isn’t this his turn to choose the movie?”
“I… think so??”
(name) furrowed their eyebrows, turning their head to Techno, before looking back at the two infront of them. Their hand reached in their pocket to bring out a phone, sending a quick message to Phil about the query. A few seconds had passed between them before a reply was given.
‘Yepp’
‘What are we watching tonight?’ (name) asked once more.
‘We’re finishing off whatever we have left on IT… then onto its sequel’
‘K’
Moving over to the couch, (name) whispered, “Should we tell them that neither of their movies are going to be played?”
“…Nahh,” Techno dragged on, pleasantly amused by the ‘soap opera’ as (name) puts it.
“Well as fun as it is, I’m gonna need them to stop screamin’ their lungs out—”
“What?! No, why would you do that—”
“—before we get our asses busted.”
(name) finished, getting up from their seat on the comfortable couch, before moving over to Tommy and Wilbur, to once more attempt to settle the trivial argument. They gave Techno a side eye, gesturing to help them in case anything ends up broken.
“Tommy, Wilbur,” they started, only to be cut off by Wilbur mocking Tommy with a squeaky voice.
It didn’t end there, no, in fact, anytime they tried to start or complete their sentence, they got cut off either by Tommy’s shouting or Wilbur’s imitation of what the latter sounded like. With a heavy sigh and a facepalm, (name) went back to Techno, drink in hand, and plopped down on the couch. This time, absolutely done with the mess in front of them.
“That was hilarious.” Techno commented.
“Oh shut up, smartass,” they grumbled, taking small sips from their bottle of coke, “I’d like to see you try.”
“Is that a challenge?”
“I dunno bro, is it?”
“Oh, are you seriously askin’ me that bro?”
“Well let’s say that it is, what are you gonna do about it?”
In the midst of their back-and-forth bantering, and with Tommy and Wilbur who now have migrated from their place over to the table of drinks near them, none had noticed Phil, who had entered the room with two bowls of popcorn in his hands.
Looking at the sight in front of him, Phil rolled his lips, oscillating and producing a ripple-like sound. He stomped down one foot, grabbing the attention of the other four in the room, who turned their heads towards his general direction.
“Okay chill mate, I could hear you all the way from the other room, and you know how thick these walls are.”
“Sorry Phil—”
“Yea, ‘m sorry.”
“Sorry, this wouldn’t’ve happened if someone didn’t suggest such a horrible movie to watch—”
“OHH! You take that back Wilbur!!”
“Oh? What are you gonna do about it?!” Wilbur exclaims, crossing his arms, raising a brow as if to challenge the younger male.
“YOU B—”
“Ohhh-kay, how about we put those movies up, it’s my turn to choose the movies anyways.”
Phil interjects, evoking a laugh from both Techno and (name) as Wilbur froze in shock from the statement. Tommy’s finger dipped along with his shoulders, jaw dropped as he turned to look at Phil once more.
“What?” the two sputtered.
Handing a bowl over to (name), Phil moves over to the laptop hooked up to the projector, and scrolls through the horror section to find IT. While he was scrubbing through to find the timestamp of where the family had last left off, (name) walked to Wilbur to hand him his bowl of popcorn.
“You knew about it?” Wilbur asked, coming out of his shock.
“Yep,” they confirmed, popping the ‘p’, “I was gonna tell you and Tommy, but the both of you kept cutting me off every time I tried.”
“Oh…”
“S’alright, all in good fun,” they let out a small laugh.
Placing down the bowl on the coffee table, they moved to dim the lights in the room. Techno, finished with his drink, got up from the couch to get his second, pulling Tommy along with him back to the couch. A soft, “Let’s go Tommy,” was heard from the pink haired being.
With arms crossed, and an exaggerated frown, Tommy silently grumbled to himself, disappointed that they weren’t able to rewatch the incredible Spiderman animation. Wilbur, on the other hand, vocalised his disappointment to Phil.
“Phiiil, why’re we watching horror movies? That’s like… that’s so cliché.”
“Well it’s my turn to pick the movie, and I want to watch some spooky movies, so that’s what we’re watching.”
“I mean… he’s got you there Wilbur,” Techno gave his two cents.
“Oh shut up, Techno,” he retorted.
(name) came up to the group, quietly laughing to themselves as they handed a can of coke to Tommy and a caprisun to Wilbur, a small smile plastered on their face.
“Well, that was eventful… and the movie hasn’t even started.”

Tommy may have been an idiot, but he wasn’t stupid. He noticed the little things more often than he didn’t. But there were four things he knew about you better than anyone else.
Tommy knew that you liked tea.
Siblings, and people in general, seem to have this habitual kind of indicator of their mood. Some people bounced their leg when they were nervous, others liked to twiddle their thumbs or pop joints; It’s different for everyone.
But he could always tell how [y/n] felt by the tea they were drinking.
When they were nervous, they made tea brewed from lavender buds collected from a flower field they often visited with Technoblade or Phil. They brought Tommy once. He had run around the whole area with infinite energy before the blond climbed the tree. He had climbed higher and higher until he could feel the warmth of the setting sun shine on his face. The branch broke, but when he plummeted, he wasn’t scared. They were at the bottom, waiting to catch him. They were always waiting to inevitably catch him no matter if it was from his own stupid decisions or from someone else’s. They got nervous a lot, but when he was by their side, he could never be.
When [y/n] was stressed, they made tea out of the peppermint leaves in their garden. The scent filled their house while it brewed and the act of harvesting the herb was “soothing”. Tommy wasn’t sure how weeding was supposed to be relaxing, but he happily did it when their newest sibling figure asked him to. He remembered pulling out a whole mint plant the first time he had worked beside them, unknowing that that was the plant he was supposed to be protecting. They had laughed, gently scolding him, before setting it aside. Even if they were stressed out, they never took it out on him.
When he was sad or upset, they made chamomile tea with honey. Chamomile is a calming flower, he remembered them saying once. And the honey helped you remember that golden days were ahead. They made it for him every morning after he would wake up in the bed he seemed to sleep in more than his own. Sometimes the honey came from Technoblade, sometimes they had retrieved it themselves from wild hives, but they always seemed to get the best stuff. Even when he cried or started to -what was the word they had used? Disassociate? That sounded correct-, he could expect the mug to be pushed into his hands, a sugary but not cloying aroma wafting off it. He always felt much better when he left. He could never remember seeing them drink the tea, despite having such an abundance of it. Did they even get sad? He had never witnessed it.
When they were happy, they made black tea of various kinds and drank sweet iced tea that reminded him of what diabetes would taste like if it were liquid. They drank this with him almost daily. It was always a new blend they wanted to try and perfect or one they wanted him to taste. He loved smelling this tea the most. When its fragrance filled the air, somehow, everything felt right in the world. He couldn’t recall a single time when he didn’t see them on the porch, drinking the amber liquid out of a glass when they knew he’d be coming over for dinner.
It was the days when you didn’t drink tea at all, he was afraid.
Tommy knew that no matter what someone did to them, [y/n] wasn’t afraid to make enemies or insert themselves between their friends and any sort of danger to protect them.
Dream was surprised to see [y/n] at the meeting between the Greater Dream SMP and L’Manburg. It was only supposed to be him and George convening with Tubbo and Tommy. They held no real power in the country. They didn’t belong in this meeting, just like they didn’t belong in this timeline.
He watched the way they, during George and Tubbo’s discussion, rested a hand on Tommy’s arm when his hands clenched hard enough to turn his knuckles white. He saw how they would murmur quietly to him and the child would relax ever so slightly. He noticed the nods they gave the blond when he looked to the adult for confirmation after he made a questionable statement. He observed your true role here.
“Nice to see you replace Wilbur so quickly, Tommy. That’s good. He was a horrible role model for you.” His lips curled behind his mask at the shocked expression on everyone else’s face aside from the vice president before him. His eyes were sharp, angry. “Maybe without his influence, you’ll actually be a competent leader for something.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Considering L’Manburg was supposed to be totally destroyed and returned back to the Greater Dream SMP, I’m glad you found someone a bit less self-destructive to help keep you under control. We all know Wilbur did a horrible job at it.” Watching the child soldier stand quickly gave him a certain satisfaction.
“Fuck you, bitch! I don’t need to be told what to do.” Dream watched [y/n] give Tommy a warning look and the way he ignored it.
“And yet you followed someone who lost his own presidential race and blew up his own country before seeking out validation from someone else.”
“I don’t-”
“Tommy.” He watched the blond flinch at the edge to your voice and look down at you.
“He’s saying I-”
“I’m aware. He’s just trying to rile you up. It’s what he does. Ignore him.” The glare they sent him made a sharp jolt go down his spine, but he couldn’t help the chuckle that spilled from his covered mouth.
“Listen to your sibling, Tomathy. At least this one is sane. And if they kill themself, they’ll come back.” Tommy opened his mouth once more to say something before it snapped closed and he released a breath through his nose.
“I don’t need this.” The slam of the door echoed through the now quiet room.
Dream’s attention was immediately back on [y/n]. He watched them square their shoulders and lower their head to look him dead-on. Their glare met him with a hidden fury threatening to break forth and raise the hell that seemed to be just as deeply rooted in them as it was the company they kept. Their lips were pursed in a way that made his own grin grow larger. "Wilbur may not have been the best man. He may have hurt me and put the rest of L’Manburg in this situation. But that is our business alone, and you have no right to say anything bad about him or about Tommy, for that matter."
There was a pregnant pause and he heard George start laughing awkwardly to dispel the tension before being hushed hurriedly by Tubbo.
“And what is it you’ll do to me if I do?” Dream kept his voice level.
“You know why I’m here and who’s behind me. You can use your imagination..” They stood, chair scraping against the floor loudly. “I’m going to check on Tommy.”
“But we’re not done!” They stopped at the door, hand resting on the handle.
“I’m sure you can handle the rest by yourself, Tubbo. You know what to do.” They looked at him over their shoulder, before glancing over George and then settling on the man in green. “Don’t you ever speak his name ever again. Or we just might have to build that prison you mentioned. Am I understood?” Sullen nods came from the monarch and the president as they stormed out.
“Well, that was something.”
Tommy had been sitting in the hallway, curled in on himself the same way he had been after the Pit incident.
“Toms?”
“Why is he even here?”
You sat next to him, back resting against the wall.
“Because he cares about George. Kinda like why I was in there for you.” You felt the taller lean against you and relax when you wrapped your arm around him. “I’ll always be here for you, Kiddo.”
You felt him nod and you pressed a kiss to his hair.
“You know I’m not trying to replace Wilbur, right?”
“Of course not. We were like brothers.” His lips quirked a little when he heard your laugh.
“If he were here, I’m sure he’d tell you not to say that or he’d cry.”
“Good. Fucking bitch.”
He didn’t know what he’d do if you never came back.
Tommy knew that the only other person who loved you as much as he did was Technoblade.
Techno had never felt jealous of Tommy before. Or really anyone. He was pretty secure in his position as your best friend, and the vast amounts of platonic affection you showered him with kept him content. Even during the Pogtopia rebellion, watching the looks and touches Wilbur gave you or seeing the child sneak into your bed for another night in a row didn’t make him jealous. So why did he suddenly have the very real impulse to shove the blond off the side off a cliff just to retake some of your attention?
The hybrid watched you talk with your hands as you recounted the night before and your surprise at finding Tommy already there when you came home from Phil’s. He was happy he had been right. You and Philza were similar in many ways and got along well. You would constantly joke with Techno that you were trying to get yourself adopted by the older blond and he would just respond with an amused “don’t tempt him, he might.”. You would always laugh in response.
That was always the best sound.
He listened to your words as he topped off the teacup in front of you with more of the red-tinted liquid. The warm scent of earl grey and roses wafted off of the cup tinged with the subtle tang of the orange peel he had added on a whim. You were right in your suggestion. Citrus always makes deeper teas better.
“If it’s really that bad, the offer to move in still stands. I have more than enough room and you can escape that raccoon.” He snickered at the pout that rested on your lips.
“I never said that I didn’t like it! And don’t call Tommy a raccoon.” He sipped his own tea.
“It’s true. Gets into trash, beady little eyes, a nuisance. He even breaks into your house.”
“He has a key, Tech. It’s different.” You had rolled your eyes at him, but the smile on your face spoke of your fondness for them both. He felt the small well of jealousy in his chest flare. Did Tommy know how privileged he was? He hoped the child knew.
“I’m just sayin’. Whenever you want to leave that place, my door will always be open for you.” He watched your smile soften and the firm squeeze when you reached across the table for his forearm.
“I appreciate it, but Tommy needs me still. Maybe one day, okay?” He grunted at you and you giggled. “Who knows, maybe Phil will come with! He could build his own little cabin and everything.”
“I’ve already extended the offer to him as well. He said he’ll think about it.” You shook your head.
“He’s probably trying to figure out how close to the meadow he’d be in comparison.”
“Man loves the flowers, what can he say?”
“Sure, it’s definitely the flowers.” You sipped your tea with a knowing grin.
“What else would it be?” He watched the glint in your eyes, seeing exactly what Tommy had always said about you. They had seemed a lot deeper lately, more knowledgeable. The child had always claimed that you spoke like you knew more than you let on and he saw it in your smile sometimes, but the look you were giving him right at that moment confirmed it.
“Maybe it’s all the memories.”
He couldn't imagine you not returning the feelings they both held for you, despite the vast difference.
Tommy knew that you wouldn’t hide anything from him unless it was absolutely imperative.
He found you sitting in the living room, curled into an old recliner that you would never tell him where it came from. You felt Tommy haphazardly throw his arms around your shoulders from behind, releasing a small sigh of contentment as he pressed his face further into your neck.
"Hey, Kiddo, what’re you up to?" His grip on you slackened, and you could almost feel his face draw up to a small pout. He absolutely hated that nickname but couldn’t deny the small warmth that flared in his stomach whenever you called him it.
"[Y/n], how many times have I asked you to stop calling me that?" He removed himself from you when you shrugged your shoulders.
"Sorry, Toms, the nickname stays. You're too much of a brat for it to leave." He groaned, eyebrows drawing together. You knew he wasn’t entirely mad at the name. He wouldn’t have whined the way he did if he truly wanted you to stop. You and Tommy seemed to share a wavelength. It wasn’t the same one you shared with Techno, but it was just as perfect. You wished you could tell him why it was.
The realization set a rock that started in your throat and slowly started to sink to your stomach. It spread through you, causing a wet hot sensation to form behind your eyes. You’d never be able to tell your little brother your deepest secret. What if he hated you? What if he told everyone else and they cast you out? What if he felt he couldn’t trust you anymore?
Carefully pulling yourself out of your own thoughts, you looked up at the child. “I’m sorry, what was it you wanted?”
"Can I talk to you?" Your eyes flicked to the book you were reading before back to him. You knew what he wanted. A bookmark was wedged between pages and the room was silent before you stood.
"Sure, kiddo. Is it going to be a long chat?" You set off to the kitchen, soon pouring some water into an old kettle that Phil had given you the day that you had awoken. You had been “gone” for over a full day. Aside from Phil, no one else knew what had happened and where you went.
An opaque jar was pulled from the cupboard, carefully opened, and he watched as purple buds, green leaves, and yellow-white flowers were deposited gently onto the mesh cloth that you would tie into a sachet. He had never seen them combine those teas. He didn’t even realize you had such a large jar of it stored.
“What happened at Phil’s?” You hesitated before steadying your hand and pouring the steaming water into a teapot before setting the sachet in. It floated for a moment before you used the string to dunk the bag a few times to soak it before it sank midway.
You only pulled one mug down.
You gestured for him to sit at the table and he took it. You could see the way his anxiety rose even higher when you didn’t sit across from him.
“What day? I’ve been at Phil’s a lot lately.”
“Oh fuck off. You know what day I’m talking about.” You shrugged, trying to keep your expression even.
“I really don’t, Tommy. You’re going to have to narrow it down for me.” Your fight or flight instincts were dialed to high when he gave you a knowing look.
“You don’t have to lie to me, [y/n]. I’m not a child.”
“Yes, you are, and I’m not lying.” You flinched when he slammed his hands on the table, chair screeching as it was slid back with too much force before it fell backwards.
“Then why have you changed?” You froze. “You used to love spending time with me before-”
You wanted to reach out, to comfort him, when you saw his lips quiver, but he turned his head away from you. He couldn’t look you in the eye.
“Before you were gone for almost two days and came back wrong. You don’t talk like how you used to either. It’s like you know things, but like, more than you used to. And come to find out from Ranboob, you had gone to Philza’s house. What did he tell you?”
You just shook your head, wanting to tell him you remembered him. You remembered every timeline he was in. Every moment he had fought for what he believed in and won. Every time he had died. Every timeline he could have died.
“Did I do something? Is it because of Ghostbur? Do you-” He looked back up at you, looking exactly like the sixteen year old he was supposed to be. “Do you hate me?”
“Of course not, Tommy. Why in the world would you ever think that?”
“Then why won’t you tell me what’s going on? Siblings don’t keep secrets.”
“They do when they’re trying to protect the ones they love, Tommy.” You watched his face grow red in frustration.
“You’re not always gonna be there for me, [y/n]!”
“You don’t know that.”
“Why won’t you just tell me?” His voice broke, and so did your heart.
“Because you’re still just a kid, Tommy. And I think sometimes you forget that. And everyone else too. And I can’t tell anyone what happened.”
“But why? I stopped being a child when we won our first war. I should be able to hear about this!”
“Because the things I saw, the things I heard, no one else should have to bear this weight.” You swallowed back your tears. This was no time to cry. “You can be mad at me all you want, Tommy. But I’m still the same [y/n] who tucks you into bed and links pinkies with you on the Prime Path and who will always be there for you.”
The hurt look he gave you would haunt you for the rest of your lifetimes.
“Then why won’t you let me be there for you?” You could only shake your head.
“Because that’s not how it works, Kiddo.” Tommy’s eyes hardened and he sucked in a quivering breath.
“Fine.” He started walking back towards the door.
“Toms, where are you going?” He didn’t answer you.
His tea was bitter and cold by now, and for a moment, he couldn’t help but feel the same.
Tommy knew all those things about you. So why did it feel like maybe he didn’t know you at all?
Hi? This is my first piece of writing haha, advice and comments and all that jazz appreciated :)
summary: tommy soothes you before introducing you to his stream
You were nervous. That’s all there was to it. You’ve seen the power of Tommy (and other creators) fans, and were scared of what they might think of you. You sat on Tommy’s bed looking down at your nails, picking at them - a nasty habit of yours. Tommy was slouched over at his desk, looking over everything to make sure it was ready for him to stream. He noticed your out of place silence and glanced over to make sure you were alright. When he looked over, he took notice of you picking at your nails. He knew how annoyed you got when your nails went too short due to you picking at them, so he got up and strode over to his bed and pulled your hands apart - effectively stopping them from harming one another.
“We both know you hate the aftermath of picking your nails, so let’s avoid that.” he said, chuckling. Normally, you would chuckle along with him, but your feelings of anxiety and your nerves were overpowering feelings of joy and humor in your brain. Tommy took notice of this and had to comment on it.
“Are you alright?” he asked, genuinely worried about your change in behavior “You would normally smile, maybe even laugh, but you’re not. You can talk to me, you know that right?” he asked, staring at you.
“It’s nothing,” you said quickly, not wanting to ruin his mood just before his stream. “Don’t worry about it, let’s start the stream?” you asked, trying to deter the conversation from your mood.
“No,” he started, “tell me what’s wrong.” he stated, and sat criss-cross applesauce on his bed, across from you with his hands on his chin. “The stream can wait.”
“I’m just,” you started, wondering how to word your fears, “nervous. What if chat doesn’t like me? I don’t think I could deal with a massive amount of hate or something.” you said, letting some of your worries out.
Tommy hummed, and linked your pinkies together as you normally do, his preferred sign of affection. He understood your worries, he felt that way almost everyday before streaming. “ (Y/N), you know that chat will like you right ? Almost, ALMOST, as much as I like you, not quite the same amount of like, but a little bit less.” he caught himself rambling and continued, “Anyways, even if they do hate you I’ll clart them.” he said, jokingly kissing his “muscles”. “I am a Big Man after all,” he said, smiling.
You smirked a bit, laughing internally at his behavior. “Thank you Tommy” you said, truly thankful for your friend’s words of assurance. “I’m 100% sure you can clart all the haters to Jupiter” you said, now with a grin matching his on your face. “Should we start the stream now then? We are a bit late,” you said, trailing off and glancing at your phone for the time.
“Yes, yes, yes,” he said, chanting as he went back down to his chair. He gave a thumbs up and told you “You stay there until I tell you to come, alright?” he asked. You merely nodded in response.
You looked down to your phone, mindlessly scrolling through twitter until he started his stream. You heard the wii shop theme playing in the background, along with the sound of Tommy clearing his throat. You put your phone down, checking your appearance one more time, before watching Tommy stream. After checking if the chat can hear and see him, he pulled out his coke can to properly start the stream. He opened the coke can, the hissing sound indicating it was open.
“WHAT IS UP CHAT!” he screamed, a signal that the stream was starting off great. You went on twitch, curious to see what the title of this stream was. You had to hold back a laugh when you saw the title “BEST FRIEND (that isn’t tubbo) POG.” sitting on Tommy’s twitch page. You muted your phone and scrolled through the chat, everyone asking about his supposed “ best friend that isn’t Tubbo” in Tommy’s life. . Tommy paused in his daily rant and welcomes to chat and looked over at you, smiling. He raised his eyebrows slightly, silently asking if you were ready to come on stream. You gave a small smile, nodding. He nodded and gestured for you to wait a minute. His eyes flicked towards the chat, which was bursting with questions:
Tommyinnit69: hurry up big man we’re impatient
Unicornbaby3452: tommy where is the friend
wilburwastaken: tommy whAT
“Chat, chat” Tommy said as he ran a hand through his hair “calm down, they’re right here.” he said and looked at you, tilting his head towards himself, lifting his right arm as if inviting you over. You bit your lip and sucked up all your doubts, getting up and sort of crouch standing next to him.
“Hi chat” you waved, as you adjusted your stance to where you are on your knees next to his chair, still in view (or just barely in view, depending on your height!).
“Let me get another chair,” he muttered as he placed the headphones on your head and ran out of the room, careful not to show his hallway to chat. Taking the opportunity, and leap of faith, you got up from your perch on the ground and sat in his chair. You looked over at his chat, moving at 100 miles per hour.
“What the hell, how does he read this?” you questioned as you desperately tried to keep up with chat. A newfound respect for Tommy, and his peers, arose and you made a mental note to stop teasing him so much for his choice in occupation. As you were trying to read through chat, a robotic voice sounded through your head.
“May we know your name?” the robotic voice said, seemingly talking to you.
“Uhm sure” you said, unsure if you should wait for Tommy or not. As soon as you were about to say it, your best friend walked back in with a stool of some sort. You smiled at him and started to get up from his chair, stopping when he sat on the stool.
“Sit in the chair, you’re fine” he said, smiling. “What are we talking about?” she asked, leaning on his desk with one hand on his chin, looking at you.
“Well tubboinnit asked what my name was, so I was gonna tell them. I was waiting for you, but now you’re here.” you said, looking at his face for his reaction.
“Go on then,” he said, linking pinkies with you for the second time that night.
“My name is (Y/N)” you said, not revealing your last name. As an afterthought, you added “me pronouns are (insert pronouns here) by the way.”
Tommy looked up and smirk-smiled at you and you reciprocated his actions. This wasn’t going to be that bad, and if it did go bad you knew you could rely on Tommy. He would always be there for you.
sorry for grammar and spelling errors :( thank you for reading !
