Had a great time at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival!
One of my (many) purchases at MDSW was Fiber Optic Yarns' show colorway on her Heaven Sport base, along with Fossil colorway to coordinate.
Back from this year’s Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival -- I bought a basket, a weaving kit (the green-purple skeins of tencel), a knitting kit from A Hundred Ravens (for a two color shawl), a handspindle made out of spalted wood, two different monofloral honeys, a jar of maple sugar, 1 ounce of Himalayan cashmere fiber, 2 fish pepper plants, 1 poblano plant, 1 Amish Paste tomato plant, 2 basil, and 3 cotton plants (3 green lint, 1 Nankeen brown).
So. Maryland Sheep and Wool. Not gonna lie, I slept all the way through Deleware and freaked out when I woke up and saw a billboard for a Waffle House (look, we don’t have them north of the Mason Dixon Line!), and it felt huge since it was my first time - but everything started to click once I found the fleece sale and eased into routine as soon as I realized just how many places had wheels I’ve been coveting. (I have it narrowed down to a Lendrum or a Sidekick so feel free to try to sway me one way or the other.)
Pictured: my haul (I split that fleece three ways with two lovely women whose names I’ve already forgotten because I am Scum, but seriously it was their idea, they literally come to me and go “wanna make it a three way”), and a magical booth of fairy tale wheels. I was too tired to take more pictures and I deeply regret it.
If we're sitting we're knitting! Coffee and yummy's before we tackle set up. It's very rainy.... #ontheround #yarn #showprep #indiedyer #mdsw (at CUP Tea Bar & Cafe)

Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival 2017
So this is the inspiration for the Trajectory Shawl: a shooting star. Specifically, the trail behind the star, at least in cartoon versions, and how where it has been can show where it is going. Thus Trajectory.
You can see the Trajectory Shawl this weekend at Fiber Optic Yarns' booth at MDSW. And if it's not too wet, you might see me wearing one as I wander around the festival.
