What looks like a bookshelf is actually a huge variety of curry (retort pouches and roux). They say that there is over 3,000 types of these curry pouches being sold in Japan. Did you know that the first retort pouches of curry sold in Japan was “Bon Curry” in Feb. 1968? In the beginning it was sold only in the Kansai region and later after reconstructing the packaging to extend the shelf life from 3 months to 2 years Bon Curry was sold nationwide. Some may remember the packaging of an actress named Yoko Matsuyama in a kimono who is smiling behind a plate of Japanese curry and rice. If you look at this photo carefully, you will be able to find blue colored curry and strawberry curry. #レトルトカレー #japanesecurry #readytoeatcurry #curryrice #mealpacks #currypacks https://www.instagram.com/p/CLXppfgHUOJ/?igshid=1tgqp44jx6jok
