I treat my Tuesday class different, and I always will. I want to be able to teach them more than dance moves. I want them to grow as a person as well as a dancer when they step foot into my class and to put #MeaningBehindTheMoves. One more month till they hit the stage for concert. Some are ready, some are almost there, and some aren't, but that's my job as a choreographer to make them ready. Some people think all they need to do is make up some routine, put people in spots, and boom... you're an amazing choreographer. No. You need to take the time to understand your class, see where a student is failing... and fix it. You need to be able to channel a feeling or concept to them without belittling them. You should be able to see a potential in EVERYONE and show them how to expose it and develop it. I'm still working on it too, but over these past years I have learned and have grown so much as a dancer and a teacher that I can still progress. Love these kids to the core and I'm honored and humbled that they still trust me with their development. Gotta be doing something right of they keep coming back again. ^__^ #FeelGoodTuesday #KeepItPositive #HS4LLegacy #DancingEngineer #NeverForgotten (at Hypersquad Dance Company)
