Tips on how to reduce meat consumption (in my personal experience):
Choose vegetarian or vegan dishes when going out to eat. If you order a dish with meat you can ask if it's possible to remove any meat or to have a reduced portion of it.
When searching for recipes, find the vegetarian/vegan versions or look for plant protein substitutes.
Try as many new foods as you can! This will help you to learn what you like and what works for you. I personally started to look into South Korean and Japanese Buddhist recipes and vegetarian Indian recipes.
Break your daily meals!! Go 80% plant and 20% meat/dairy/seafood in your meals. Out of the three meals a day, have meat in only one of them - I would suggest having meat in lunch.
Make meat a side dish, not your main dish.
Speak to your GP when you transition into reducing meat to not only ensure you're meeting nutritional needs but also to address any potential concerns to your health. Your GP may help you with your plans or recommend you to a dietitian.
Try to go meatless for one day out of the week.
Eat smaller portions of meat.
Plan ahead for when you cook or create a meal plan for the week.
Do research into people who are on the same journey as you, talk to them, write down your milestones, watch meatless cooking videos, ask for advice, read books that are about the vegetarian/vegan diet.
Most importantly, take it easy on yourself. Reducing meat in your diet is a big deal, especially depending on your national/cultural diet. Take your time, do your best and KEEP going - Even if it's a slow and long journey, you're still taking steps.
