04.08.2021 // Let's have a little #throwbackfriday.
Last Week was the BHW Quarterly meeting and my brother, Bojoy's birthday + a long weekend due to Araw ng Kagitingan. I was so happy and excited to go home. We didn't celebrate Bojoy's birthday because papa got admitted to the hospital and siguro tungod na pud kay wala kwarta. But I still want to go home. I want to be with bojoy on his day and also to see papa's situation. Pero na kasab an jud ko a week same day today kay ngano daw nag sakay ko ug Bao-Bao from Maramag to Kalilangan. Well wala na jud sakyanan since pandemic started from 5pm onwards. I get it, they're only concern. I thank God for mama that day kay gi comfort ra sab ko niya. But, financial problem again came. So mao na to. I didn't expect that weekend will not be peaceful the same as previous weekends I had with my fam. Sadly, my review for board exam got affected after that weekend. I became tired emotionally. I became unproductive.
Why did I share this? Because I learned something 🧡 I thank God for letting me know these and let me go back to Him.
So here. I hope these will become a blessing to you who is reading this:
1. Learn to forgive. It is so hard but try to do it. "LEARN" to forgive. Step by step, learn it. And let us remember how God forgive us every now and then. Remember the Cross. Remember that He suffered for our sin. Remember that regardless of how painful you did to Him everytime you hate, you sin, and you disbelieve, even though you didn't ask for forgiveness, He forgives. I remember also a verse in the Bible when He said, As many as seven times?"
Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven."
-- Matthew 18:22 . Don't give up for others. Even though he/she don't deserve it, forgive.
2. As you forgive, don't forget to love. Again, like Jesus. He loves people who are undeserving of love. Let's be like Him. I know it will not be easy but continually pray for love.
3. We love and forgive of we spend time praying and understanding His Word. How's your time with the Lord? Maybe it's to hard to love, to trust, and to surrender because you don't know God. Be with Him, sweetie. He is the source of love and mercy.
4. I can choose to be happy amidst difficulties. Ingon ko sa akong self, "ayha nalang ko mag malipayon if okay na sila mama ug papa", "ayha nalang ko mag study pag okay nako ug wala nay problema", "dili ko dapat malipayon kay dili sila okay sa balay". I made my family my god na d ay ba? I depend na my happiness to them. Pero God let me realize na I can help them but if dili nako ka help, as long as I tried, okay na. Let go na and pray for the situation. Yes we have to give them all to Jesus.
5. Adulting is hard but "I can do all things through Christ’s strength". Philippians 4:13
6. I must still do my best because it is the Lord's calling. Amidst hardships, persevere. Face the storm. Be in the battle field. And make God your Companion, your Master, your Shepherd. Make Him your partner and make Him your reason why you are doing it.
