2. When did you first realise you were aro-spec?

Errr… About the same time, I realized I’m ace? At first I didn’t fully get the split attraction idea. I found out about asexuality and embraced it fully. Soon I figured out it doesn’t have to mean aromantic as well, but for me it went so hand in hand it was not like a separate deliberation.

6. How do you feel about general intimacy? (Kissing, cuddling, etc)

I’m not a fan, to be honest. In theory, I sometimes miss the human touch but in general, being this close to people feels cringy. I enjoy random short-ish hugs but I’m not really comfortable with cuddling with anyone. Also, I don’t know, the actual hugs or cuddles always make me too aware that there’s touching going on? I have no problems with casual invasions of my space like I don’t know, a friend or even just a colleague patting me on the head or leaning against me, or just putting their feet up in my lap to get comfy? I’m cool with that. Actually, people at work pet my hair a lot, it’s an incredibly safe spot to touch, I guess. :P

Kissing though? No. Nope. Nuh-uh. Even on the cheek is like rarely acceptable. Kiss my hand and I will cringe for a week. Ugh.

20. Would you date anyone?

God, I hope not. I tried once and it was a disaster. No, seriously, it lasted for like, three days? I think? And I realized in that time that I hate having anyone that deeply inserted in my life and I can’t deal with even thinking about mixing my life with someone else’s that much. 

(And before any of you think the person I dated was like crazy possessive or some shit - nope. He was really decent, is really, we’re still in touch. It’s that what most people consider a very casual beginning of dating, I consider horrible invasion in my life and space and I’m not about that.)

So yeah, I wouldn’t want to date anyone I don’t have romantic feelings for, I think, because quite frankly I hate dating. And my romantic feelings appear every once in seven years and last for about 2-3 days after being reciprocated. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

24. Best part of being aro?

Okay, I don’t want to sound judgmental or annoying, or stereotypical but I swear, whenever I hear people complaining about their love lives and the drama, or how they feel the need to have a romantic partner in their lives… It automatically erases every sad moment I’ve ever had about being lonely. This is just so not my jam and I’m forever glad I was spared.

Why the heck not? We’ve done weirder, haven’t we? ;) 

1) who can outdrink the other? Hawkeye. But he needs to work for it more than he anticipated.

2) who says “I love you” more? If we’re counting the joking, half-joking, etc. than Hawkeye. If we only count absolutely fully sincere and open admissions of feelings than Francis.

3) who has trouble sleeping alone? Hawkeye.

4) who swears more? Hawkeye.

5) who does more of the housework? Francis.

6) who forgets their anniversary? Francis.

7) who steals the duvet in their sleep? Francis.

8) who keeps the other awake at night with their snoring? Francis. That’s the real reason he has his own tent.

9) who finds stray animals and begs the other to let them keep them? Hawkeye, though often he tries to blame it on Francis in front of others.

10) who usually makes dinner? Francis. Hawkeye is more of a breakfast guy.

11) who plays their music out loud? Francis.

12) who hogs the bathroom? Hawkeye.

13) who gives the most compliments? Both give a lot. Francis is more “you’ve done great with this patient, it’s inspiring, I'm really proud of you” type. Hawkeye is more “you look absolutely sinful good tonight”.

14) who usually starts/causes arguments between them? Sometimes Francis irks Hawkeye by having too much faith in him and seemingly expecting him to be too good of a person. At least that’s how Hawkeye sometimes interprets it which is what leads to the fight.

15) who isn’t afraid to embarrass the other in public? Hawkeye.

16) who gives the other cringeworthy pet names? Hawkeye.

17) who fusses over takes care of the other when they get sick? Hawkeye, the worry pants that he is.

18) who finds it impossible to stay angry at the other for long? Francis. 

19) who clings to the other for comfort when they’re sad or scared? Hawkeye.

20) who is more ‘physically passionate’? (hugs, kisses, or maybe more…) Hawkeye. Francis is still getting used to it all.

Ok. Slowburn: Margaret Houlihan. (She’s way too perfect and intimidating for anything but a very slow burn.)

Fake date: Sally Donovan. (It’d be hilarious and no one would buy it but I would be the best fake partner she could ask for.)

enemies to lovers: Eleanor Guthrie. (Isn’t it like the best way to get to lovers stage with her? Also arguing and fighting with Eleanor would be pure pleasure. Especially since I know right away I would lose, so no hard feelings XD)
