I talk to myself. . I tell myself things like "You should eat veggies instead of junk" "If you don't go to sleep now you're going to be crabby tomorrow" "You need to go to the gym" . I do this because I know myself better than anyone, and if I don't tell myself what to do, later I will tell myself things like "You didn't track that food you're not going to reach your goals" "You didn't go to bed now your day is thrown off" "You didn't make it to the gym today, you're a failure" . IF IT MEANS: staying in instead of going out to eat, going to bed early instead of playing on my phone or video games, or waking up at the ass crack of dawn to go to the gym because I know im not going to be able to go after work... I'm going to make it happen because knowing myself and how negative I feel if I mess up is motivation enough for me to reach my goals. . DAY 231: I Am Very Thankful. _ You may not be able to see it, but I’m smiling on the inside. _ I’m not quite ready for the wide-grip pull up yet.. _ However, I made it my goal this week to get at least one pull-up somehow and someway. _ Tonight, when I came into the gym, I didn’t think about my shoulder. I didn’t think about the consequences. I just went up to the bar and did it. _ There is something special about just doing it (#Nike 😆) _ Every week I feel like I’m meeting the place I dreamed of when I was suffering sleepless nights and unable to even feed myself. _ And today, I conquered the fear of being set back to the place I began. _ I am fiercely fixated on the future.
