Starting off 2022 strong with some heavy ass back squats. 405x2x4. Was a bit rough but it is my 90%
Also it’s currently in the 20s here in Dallas, and it’s fucking awesome. For those who don’t know I love cold weather. But that’s why I have leggings on.
Gyms finally reopened today in the UK!! Took it a bit easy, built up to a 4x120kg back squat and then a chipper 50-40-30-20-10 Dumbbell Snatches, with 20 Airsquats between rounds!

So today we retested our 1RM back squat after our 6 week back squat cycle. I managed to get 75kg in the 20 minutes which I am mega happy about as it was a 5kg increase. Although I do think, had we had more time where I could have taken more rest between sets I would have managed more but still mega happy.
After that we had a workout, which I am still yet to decide if I loved it or hated it...

I managed it in 13:23 and I am honestly so glad I wore my compression leggings today otherwise my legs would have died within the first 10 squats! Plus they make my legs look not too bad.
I am also doing well on the 800g challenge, happily nibbling away at all the fruit and veg. My friends have all lost a couple of lb this last two weeks, no idea if I have as I don't like weighing myself. But after the six weeks of this challenge I will weigh myself and take a fat percentage and see if it is different.

A lot of the time when I am training I pick 1 major compound exercise (I.e squat/deadlift/over head press/etc), and then just mix in different “assistance exercises” while I do 10-12 total sets of the compound exercise I picked for the day.
