Ravelry: monkeymeghan's Octopus
Today I started my next project, a Pride octopus for a friend. I’m 14 rows in and very happy with it so far.
The construction of this crochet hexagon sweater is what makes it so fun. Can you spot the two granny hexagons?
I have decided that my next project will be a sweater, and I’ve picked this pattern. It will be an adventure!
My friend’s daughters were jealous of the pride octopus she commissioned, so now they are going to have octopi of their own!

Ravelry: monkeymeghan's Cozy Ribbed Hood
Yesterday morning I finished up my cozy ribbed hood, and I love it. It’s so soft and warm and, well, cozy. Parts of the pattern were confusing, so I improvised just a little, but it was quite easy to do. Where the pattern said “ch 3, leave 35”, then start the hdc” I did as instructed, but that 35” bit ended doubled up and wasn’t long enough to stitch the drawstring bit up, so I ended up just cutting it, tying the ends off, and weaving them in. I used a separate piece of yarn to whip stitch that part up. If I make this again I won’t leave that 35” bit.
If you celebrate, I hope you had a nice Christmas. Mine was great. I spent the day with my parents, brother, SIL, and nephews at my brother’s house. It was awesome because last year we had to do FaceTime Christmas. They got my cats Christmas presents, too—treats and two catnip toy wine bottles. They loved both!
My nephews and brother loved the things I crocheted for them, which made me feel really good. (I didn’t crochet anything for my sister since I made her the entire gnome family lol). I got some really nice things, but it was more about spending the time together for me.
I just finished the succulents that I’m going to give to my brother for Christmas. It’s not perfect, but I’m happy with it. I hope he likes it!
This is a crochet guide to making a Ninjago figure, not the finished product. With the specified material, the Ninjago will be about 25 cm t
Today I started this project. I’m making Kai from Ninjago for my nephew. I mean, he gave the frog away, so I need to make something for him. :)
It will look something like this... hopefully...
I’ve completed the legs and the first five rows of the body.
