wanted to draw her ominous
damara is a sort of llilith figure in that like. aradia in comparison is in a more convoluted eve figure. (obvi also with the inherent gnosticism of homestuck but yk) damara is the first of the space/time binaristic pair to try and create the new world, she is molested and trapped by scratch, who embodies a like. cosmically masculine role in a lot of ways and she doesn't take it lying down, nor does she when people hurt her or rufioh cheats on her, because of this, the session condemns her a faliure and she is seen by everyone as like. barrenness, an archetypal crazy bitch inhabiting the same misogynistic hate lillith personified (in texts where she is labelled specifically as a character anyway). aradia however, yeah she fights equius and shit but its nto about that its about tje narrative, frogs as femaleness and reproductive shit in homestuck are a whole thing and she literally beclmes a frog. she isnt able to interact physically with the world enough most of the session to do the shit damara did so her lack of agency was key here. shes also an antichrist figure in the way karkat is jesus or a god figure in the sense that karkat is the demiurge.
