i read on quora that cersei killed melara to prevent the prophecy from happening and i never thought of it that way (and if i did i don’t remember). i felt jealousy was a weak excuse but if cersei was scared of what she heard and she killed her friend to contain the secret so she could make sure maggy's prophecy never happens, that makes the whole situation less annoying and more fascinating. no wonder cersei saw melara during the walk of shame. cersei has been through a lot of horrible things and she never thought of her friend (as far as we know) and yet after joffrey's murder and cersei's youth has left her, the prophecy and the circumstances she heard it feel more real than ever.

Halloween had maybe, sort of, possibly, had more of an affect on Megara than she would have liked to admit. 

It wasn’t just mental or physical, it was both. She saw green eyes in her dreams. She felt sick when her veins hummed with life and itched for something more; something powerful and scary that had a grip on her like a force that could not be controlled. 

Meg was a big, tough girl. But this was Magic, and Magic was sometimes all the more powerful than anything else. You could not resist Magic. At least, Megara never could.

This was probably why she’d wound up here, on the doorsteps of The Dragon Lady, The Sorceress of Swynlake. Mel. How funny was that? Their names so close when shortened. It was almost like fate, wasn’t it?

She knocked and waited, thinking of Halloween and darkness and dirt transformed to water. When the door opened, she- well, she tried to smile. It felt awkward. 

“Hey. I don’t know if you remember me- from Halloween? Sorry to just... show up like this. I didn’t know any other way to get a hold of you. Is this a- bad time?”
