Mellow Frames: Seth Rollin’s Comments about AEW
This is what came to my head when I heard Seth’s recent comments.
umm, so Im not usually the one to make a serious post or to call someone out but like I know a lot of people specifically su crits like mellow frames, but ...I always thought they were ...too horny? like he constantly talks about the gems having sex,...which coming from a dude looks almost fetishy to me, also the way he portrays steven´s and sadie relationship is just uhhhhhh
iI mean, literally the very first one was about pearl and greg being rose´s concubines so idk, there just something very uncomfortable about then sometimes to me personally
am I the only one who thinks the mellow frames version of lapis is ugly as shit and vastly inferior to any even tangentially canon version, even those shitty high-contrast bootleg videos where her colors were off that everyone used to shit on her design back in the day
The reason I don’t find MellowFrames funny a lot of the time is the same reason I don’t find some political comics funny a lot of the time: I don’t really hold those same ideas so I don’t get a kick out of it, unless it’s ironic. A political cartoon about how when someone says the word “Trump” a liberal’s head explodes isn’t really that funny if you actually do dislike Trump, because it paints you as crazy. In the same way, a joke about how the Crewniverse is inconsistent with its writing and that Steven isn’t written interestingly isn’t funny to someone who doesn’t agree with that.
