She commented, finding it relaxing to hold a conversation with Sekhmet now that she knew the goddess knew who she used to be, and still accepted it. Or maybe that was the war-like streak inside her that recognized a distant bond with the Sekhmet's divinity. Either way, she learned to enjoy the goddess' company.

He partly did not expect Yeji's question, even though he was pretty sure she had witnessed the whole video call between Ahri and him. Their conversation was still safe enough to be carried out in public, but it was almost impossible to deny that love was in the air. The call should be just to remind her that they would go out for dinner later that evening, but knowing himself, Ayden could not just let Ahri hang up without turning her into all giggly and blushing with his flirty remarks.

"No, not all, I actually treat just one lady like that," Ayden suddenly found himself being sheepish, his cheeks got warm and there must be a super shy smile on his face. It was somewhat awkward to admit it aloud, especially to his twin sister, but Yeji would always be the very first person he would like to break the news to. "So, Ahri and I, we are dating, she's my girlfriend now."

     Clint has always been a sucker for touch. Not enough of it early on means that he craves every brush of hands, every hug, every gentle caress. He’s occasionally been in horrible relationships purely to sate that craving, but this... god, this is beyond his wildest imaginings. The hands in his hair make him drop his head back gracelessly, soft, half-lidded gaze directed at Steve. Still, this thing between them is new, a little unsure, and he can’t help but be curious why Steve is doing this. Heaven knows he’s the poster boy for altruism, but Clint doesn’t want the man to do anything for him if he’s not getting something out of it too.

     “Feels nice,” he murmurs. “What brought this on?”

     “Hair looked a little too neat, so...”

     Clint laughs, because that statement should definitely go the other way. His hair just naturally ends up like this, a spiky half-mess that still manages to look okay, while Steve’s perfect locks match his perfect face, and all of the sudden all the archer wants to do is kiss him senseless.

     Well, what’s stopping you, Barton? 

     He reaches up to grab Steve’s biceps and pulls him in, turning his head just enough to slot their mouths together. There’s a soft sigh into the kiss, and he grins happily. Moments like this never really last, but they’re worth every other second that they have to fight and work and survive. At least they get to do it together, and Clint is just fine with that.

     He wasn’t mad. How could he be? Bucky had been by his side from the very start, and while people sometimes got on his case about having to get his ass hauled out of trouble by a girl, that part had never bothered him. What did bother him is the fact that he couldn’t pull himself out of trouble on his own. There’s no way he wasn’t a drag on her, and that rankled down to the bones. 

     “I’m not trying to take it out on you, Buck” He apologized quietly, not quite meeting her eyes. “I’m just tired of people getting away with being awful. That guy deserved to get his ass handed to him, but it should have been me that was able to do it. You shouldn’t have to fight my battles all the time.”

ester exposito is honestly getting there. I think I write opposite one at the moment but that’s because I know the writer and know where we’re going with characterisation and plot. otherwise, whenever I see her in the open tags I just know what kind of character they’re portraying her as. 

I haven’t watched elite but I’m not fussed about most actors on that show however I am using this chance to point out it’s always the pretty and white passing skinny girls and boys who get used. why do I never see poc used? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
