I’m thinking Roundtable or Frost Armor
Damn, just hot damn. I went in scared, I really like RWBY. And I came out having a deeper understanding of what EXACTLY RWBY is and why I like it and why others don’t. This show is such a beautiful hot mess of problems and golden moments. And this essay and especially the line “Creating art is like jumping off a cliff and building your wings on the way down” has inspired me to dream again to make a story. And just so that I aim for the moon, maybe I can make the RWBY we never got. If you’re reading this and you’re mad at Harris for his opinions and analysis. I understand, I was scared to watch this because I feel so attached to this show. But I reminded myself; my personal identity, my sense of self, who I am is not being attacked here. Because I am more than the things I watch. I am more than a fandom. Harris isn’t hurting you. It’s okay, and if you can push that rage and pain you feel aside, you can keep moving forward.

Humans obviously can do magic by understanding an elemental arcanum.
But my theory is that while elves are limited to the arcanum they are born in (thus becoming masters of them). Humans can not only tap into any they CHOOSE but possibly could tap into all of them with enough training.
Perhaps Callum will make the first comprehensive spell book and eventually tap into all of them to do so. Maybe even writing about how to tap into each arcanum.
