I want to cuddle up with my S.O. during my period. Except I don't have a S.O. Because I'm freaking single as a pringle.
Clue locking a bunch of information behind a premium subscription is a big dumb
Hi I’ve been taking Tylenol and Advil for cramps but they don’t really help. What over the counter pain meds would you suggest?
So Naproxen (Aleve) is very similar to Advil and some people respond to one better than the other so I would recommend trying that. Don’t take anymore than 3 in a 24 hour period.
I can tell when someone's on their period or started a period blog because they reblog a bunch of my posts in a short amount of time.
I want dark chocolate. Any chocolate, really, but dark chocolate in particular.
...
It's coming.
I found the LilyCup Compact at Target today and that made me excited.
I can't find pads that fit me and the only tampons that work cause me physical pain (I need supers or larger). No pad seems to fit right and I always ruin my underwear. I've tried different sizes and brands, but they are never long enough in the front. Every pad that's longer is only.longer in the back, which doesn't help. How do I find a pad that works? I'm reluctant to try Diva Cups or the like-- my parents are super against them and any feminine product tends to trigger dysphoria.
(Pt 2 i guess) I sent the ask abt pads not fitting correctly-- Anything that would require insertion would be very uncomfortable/painful for me im general as well
So I have a few alternatives.
You can make your own reusable pads or buy them from small businesses online. If you make them, you would be able to customize the length in order to fit your needs and pick out fabric patterns that you enjoy to help with the dysphoria.
There are plenty of shops online that supply pads with patterns that aren't inherently feminine, like stripes or polka dots or solid colors. You could also contact the store owner to see if you could get a custom order to get a length that meets your needs.
You could also invest in something called period underwear. The underwear is made of absorbent material and is reusable. You could wear it by itself or you could wear it with your pads (reusable or disposable). The drawback is that these things tend to be more expensive than a box of tampons or something so it might be a little difficult to get your parents on board.
Hope this helps, love!
