Sometimes there are days where we feel down and just can't seem to shake it off. It just feels like there's no way to feel better.
Those days are hard, so here are some spells and exercises to help you feel better!

✿ Send It Away ✿
This trick is an oldie, but a goodie.
What you'll need:
Paper
Pen
Sea Salt
Fire Safe Bowl
Matches or Lighter
Note: Please do this in a safe area and to have an adult present if you are a minor!
First, write down all of your negative feelings and/or what's distressing you onto the piece of paper.
Second, you will want to place the paper into your fire safe bowl (I use a metal pot).
Third, light the paper on fire and as it burns visualize those feelings leaving your body as the smoke rises into the air.
Finally, poor the salt over top of it all. This helps with cleansing and ensures that the fire is completely out.

✿ Self Care and Cleanse ✿
I do this to help break a depression spell, therefore, there's a lot of self care involved.
What you'll need:
Clean Area
A Shower/Bath
Clean Clothes
Something that makes you happy
Matches or lighter (Optional)
Sage (Any Kind and Optional)
Alright, I want you to pick a room and clean it. It doesn't matter how much or how little you clean it, just as long as there's a good four by four foot square you can stand in.
Now, you're going to gather up some clean clothes and head for the shower/bath. You can go as fancy or as simple as you desire with this. Essentially, you don't have to give yourself a spa day if you don't want to. Just make sure to wash your hair and body.
As you wash away the dirt and grime off of your body, imagine that you are also washing away the negativity from your mind as well.
Put on your clean outfit and feel free to do some more in depth self care (moisturizing, doing your nails, putting on makeup, etc) if you so desire.
Optional step: Now grab your sage and go to your cleaned space to preform a smoke cleansing to help clear your space of negative energy.
Finally, do the thing you enjoy (watch a show, read a book, write, walk, cook, walk, etc).

✿ Socailize ✿
Yeah, I know, everyone says this, but it really can help. You don't necessarily have to talk to someone about your feelings or what's bothering you though. Sometimes just having someone around you can really help lift your mood and make you feel better.

Ridding Yourself of Negativity and Bottled Emotions:
I have been asked via DM for a spell and/or exercise that I use to help get rid of pent up negativity, emotions, and/or thoughts. I thought others might need something akin to this, so I made it into a post! And no worries if you're not into witchy things because this contains both a spell and non-spell/exercise!
Materials Needed:
Three sheets of paper
A writing utensil, preferably a pen or marker
Something to represent the negativity, something that is either easily torn or cut up. A drawing, written feelings, or even a found object are all acceptable
A trash can
A black or white candle (optional)
Unionized sea salt or Black Salt (optional)
Spell:
DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO DO SO!
With all of your materials gathered you are going to begin by lighting the candle. Next, take the three pieces of paper and on each individual sheet write: "You are released from me, you can no longer bother or harm me" Once done, take what you have chosen as your representation of negativity and wrap all three sheets of paper around it. After this, begin to tear or cut your little bundle of negativity in half, cut both halves in half again, and take all of those halves and tear or cut them apart as small as you like. Now, begin to scoop the pile of destroyed negativity into a trash bin, as you do so chant: "You are banished from me, leave me be" three times. This is followed by pouring your choice of salt into the trash can and going back to the candle. Before blowing the candle out say, "I have set myself free of this negativity, it is destroyed and banished from me. By the power of three, so I mote it so shall it be."
Non-Spell/Exercise:
Now that all the materials are gathered together, begin writing "This negativity can no longer bother me" on all three sheets of paper. Once you complete that, begin to wrap the paper around what you have chosen to represent the negativity within or surrounding you. Now that we have bound or caged up the negativity, you're going to destroy or dismantle it so that it can no longer bother you. So, that being said, begin to tear or cut apart the lovely negativity bundle you've created. Through out this process, imagine that you are physically ridding yourself of your thoughts, emotions, and/or pent up negativity. As you begin to throw away your bottled emotions say out loud: "These feelings cannot bother me, I have let them go, and so I will move forward with a clear mind."

Im gonna do another exercise here. I’m meant to let my automatic thoughts roam free for a minute and just track them as they go. It’ll probably sound crazy but I shouldn’t tell myself that, everyone has a weird and contradictory inner monologue to some degree.
-I feel scared at the potential for storms. What if my tummy hurts. What if I got sick somehow somewhere. I know its not logical but its always possible. So much is out of my control. The weather predicts a low likelyhood for storms the next couple days but a big one could happen like that one time. Why am I so scared. I currently have to use the bathroom and Im always worried its going to point to me being sick. I know its stupid but its how I feel. I want to be productive and hang out with friends but I worry my fears will get in the way because they always do.
Im supposed to do this 2 more times and I’m going to try to focus the topic a little more.
-The power might go out in the next couple days. Realistically not but what if? I can never know how Im going to feel, not having that control upsets me. I just need to feel safe. I’ve done all my preparing so I should be okay. Its all realistic preparing I think. I’m not sinking thousands of dollars into this. Just a couple batteries and lights. I’ll be okay. But what If I’m not. I like to be in my parents house when there is thunder but my dad and sister are home from their trip with a new dog so everything would be chaos over there and very filthy. I feel like I lost that safe space, and the amount of times I’ve gone over there for something just to hear “One of us is sick” is worrying to me.
-Im stressed that I can’t even trust my parents to tell me when they are sick. Its annoying and irresponsible. I should ask them to call me when it happens so I can know BEFORE I go over there for something. And they always tell me “you’re fine, its just *this* or its just *that* and I have no reason to worry.” I feel like my fear is valid on some level. I dont want to be sick. Its scary. It strips away my safe zone completely. I want to avoid it at all costs. I know its not realistic but maybe I have some kind of trauma I’m not remember about this. Which sucks because how do I remember something I don’t know that I know?
Unfortunately I didn’t completely understand the instructions of the exercise. I’m meant to naturally start listening to my thoughts like they are someone else, or like arguing children. I guess I did understand on some level how these thoughts come from a place that isn’t my conscious mind. Its a rampant thought machine bent on survival.
a good friend of mine told me something which i find really valuable in thinking about the fears i have of my family: there is a distinction between hope and expectation.
when you hope something for someone, it’s not for you it’s for them. it’s great if they achieve it, but if not then it’s no cause for rebuke. when you expect something of someone, however, it’s for you. if they don’t achieve it, then you get mad, you become disappointed. it’s not for them, it’s for you.
i’ve grown up thinking expectation is a good thing to have, like some sort of high-risk high-reward thing that your loved ones give to you as some sort of mark of worthiness or something equally vague. i began to hate it after realizing how it seems to be devoid of the love i want, but i was still on the fence about ‘people wanting good things for other people’. i’ve only recently learned the distinction between that which i hate (expectation) and that which i am okay with (hope).
it’s hard, being so used to lumping both together. but i will try so that i can be less afraid of dealing with the people who have taken care of me for so long.

When you realize attraction and manifestation are natural to being, you begin to be more rather than try to become, relaxing into being is trust, a quantum leap, why things come at certain speeds is the frequency not the vibration so much. Everything is vibrating. All is energy. You do not attract what you are, a flower is not a bee, the attraction is the nature of the relationship that continues life and its essence, that is the actual substance and meaning, what's coming only provides insight to the nature of the thing and the relationship. A butterfly is not nectar, it is the life sustaining itself and creating components and elements to bring things together harmoniously. This natural order is implicit and innate, instinctual, intellect is the law of man. Instinct is the law of nature, instinct requires intelligence, it is intelligence. Choice is not absolute, choosing is partial, where there is no choice you are involved in the totality of a thing, what you chose is part of a polarity. Transcendental energy does not find meaning in where things split but moves towards what is either correct, exact and price, in this efficiency there is simplicity. Simplicity is, "it is so", already manifest. Nature is effortless in this way, it simply is what it is, no complications, therefore it is effective in all that it does. Designs in nature are already perfected, evolution is the signature of that, in that, it no longer needs to evolve, that is the sign of nature, for evolution is an extremely low frequency, and what comes natural has no time to waste, hence, no energy wasted. Where in nature do you see waste[outside of what man and woman produce]? Attachment is the buildup of waste in the body, its stagnation manifests in behaviors that are counterproductive and counterintuitive, all things unnatural. Interested in freedom? Look to everything you do that is unnatural and begin the process of elimination. This initiative is meditative, a quality of being that brings things in accordance, accordingly. Such an undertaking is not by aesthetic, it is the feel, so insensitivity can block sight from seeing beneath the veil, turn your eye inward to witness what is in response internally, your externalities then become signals, read accurately not subjectively. The objective mind, or the natural mind calls to it what is precise, in this, you become active participant in observing a process of refining, the maturation of discernment, where inner senses are most active, engage in that and see what is in orbit as a result of such action. 📡
👁️🗨️ in this dimension of seeing many things will come your way, it is a test initially to plant the seed of transmigration, in transitioning to observation from the mind's eye one must be attentive to subtleties, the energetic realm that governs movement. In these motions impulse and compulsion will undoubtedly rear their heads, maintain position in discerning what things are by sight not by name. as things come, get a sense of what you feel, without the name, see into it as deeply as possible, as far as your brain and mind permit, this stretches your capacity to apply intelligence from the third eye. An act of self-preservation that transitions you into the next phase. 🌌
Learning not to create in order to examine all of what you've already created, here lies a roadmap, the tool of a compass is to guide, so listening is essential, pay attention not to where you're guided but the guiding principle, this tunes you into the source of creation. Now the next step is to follow that source to its beginnings. In every instance, trace it back, as far back as your mental limitations can handle. Eventually through these pointings you may come in contact with a core, reactions to the discovery are impulse, once settled, return to exploration, for we can go much deeper. What is this core? Here lies inquiry, the ion in the quest, a question that is connected to the trail and the many destinations that spark further investigation. 🛰️
