AN: A small gift for @elanna-elrondiel!

We decided to refer to f!Glorfy as Laurefindelë (which is the "normal" Quenya name) because we didn't want to change too much and felt like it was "ambiguous" as is. And to those wondering about the Quenya: It was in fact spoken in Gondolin.

The house of the Golden Flower was filled with merriment and laughter. 

Lady Laurefindelë, still clad in her golden armour, was dancing and twirling like a deer in spring, golden hair fluttering behind her. In her arms, held in the manner of a groom carrying their bride, was Lady Mentelossë, cheeks flushed and eyes wet from exuberant joy. 

"Careful!" she exclaimed when Laurefindelë spun around again, missing a vase by mere inches. "You will ruin the entire salon!" 

"I would lay the entire city to waste for you, my lady; nay, Angband itself!" Laurefindelë laughed and continued her merry dancing.

Summer Stories

AN: Mentelossë belongs to @elanna-elrondiel. She's the daughter of Fingon.

Prompt: Fields | Glorfindel x Mentelossë (OFC) Synopsis: Glorfindel and Mentelossë enjoy exploring their new home. Warnings: /

Mentelossë remembers the walls of Gondolin, the narrow mountain paths when they fled, the last Elven refuges where they hid, the homely cosiness of Imladris. 

The plains of Valinor are vast compared to that, like an ocean of grass. 

Glorfindel holds her hand, wind in his hair, a smile on his face. They laugh and they run, barefooted through endless green, until they run out of breath and collapse in the grass together. 

There are neither walls nor danger. Glorfindel won't need his sword today, and Mentelossë won't have to leave without him. 

Of all of this, they're now free.

"Ammë?" 

It seems almost like an accident, to hear Elros say it. Mentelossë turns around as if in a trance, wondering if he was indeed addressing her, and there the little ellon stands, beaming up at her, Elrond by his side. 

"Did you... call me ammë just now?" she asks, confused, overjoyed, yet not quite daring to hope. 

The twins exchange a meaningful glance, then nod and face her again. 

"Yes," Elros says proudly. 

"Because you are... right?" Elrond asks. 

Mentelossë gathers them in her arms, tears in her eyes. "If you want, then yes, I am your other ammë."
