Since I've been yapping so much about Rescuebots, here's what I think about who the others were raised by.
As mentioned in previous posts, Chase is a Jazz and Prowl sparkling.

Heatwave:
He was forged in the AllSpark, and emerged from there. He ended up in the orphanage up to the point he was in the Academy.
No one adopted him. It was ultimately due to his attitude, but a lot of new parents and even experienced ones couldn't seem to handle his personality. Cocky, arrogant, easy to piss off.
He'd never admit that it made him a bit sad, but over the vorns it got to him and he accepted the fact that he just wouldn't be adopted.
Over and over, he'd watch other younglings find homes, found creators who'd love them to the fullest, and here he was stuck with nursing staff. They couldn't give him the attention he needed for emotional development, and it only got worse for him from there.
He got along well with the other younglings, protected the younger bitlets, but his attitude towards authoritative figures was another folly. He couldn't hold his tongue, he wasn't just rough, he was sharp around the edges, and he believed in earnest no one could ever want a sparkling so difficult.
And... He was right.
However, once in Academy, he reunited with his friends from early schooling and things felt much simpler without the stress of the orphanage. He was an adult, free, and working to become a firefighter.
And he might've gotten attached to his mentor and father-figure, Inferno.
Now, he calmed down into adulthood... Somewhat. And definitely managed to control his temper better on Griffin Rock, thanks to guidance from the late Inferno, but those issues still bubble just beneath the surface...
And he may project those insecurities here and there. It's one of his bad traits.

Blades:
Blades was raised by a single carrier, a femme with warm optics and a kind spark. She was a slim frame, aerial type.
His sire was nowhere to be found, and his carrier never really gave him a name to go off of. She said there was an incident that had occured, and her mate- a tough-looking femme- had gone missing.
Blades never got the full story. His carrier was too torn apart whenever she talked about it, and he didn't want to burden her.
As he grew, his mother taught him everything she knew. His Cybertronian aerial frame was sleek and very stable (compared to how clumsy he felt in the future with rotor blades), and he had learned a few tricks. It took him awhile, especially with his anxiety disorder.
Yet his mother was incredibly patient with him, giving him all the time in the world he needed. She never rushed, pushed, or forced him to try something. She'd demonstrate and guide, letting him properly adjust to his frame.
And she held onto him as long as she could, but she was one proud carrier when he got into academy! You could hear her cheering the loudest.

Boulder:
Boulder was raised by his dad and an older set of twin brothers. He was adopted into the family, like his older brothers, by their sire.
His dad was a quiet mech, kept his optics ahead and his helm placed squarely on his shoulders. Yet, he was oddly poetic. A veteran, looking for a second chance in life with these kids.
He saw it in his older sons. A flame burning in their sparks, a will to defend. They'd likely follow his footsteps. But Boulder, he saw a softer light in him, a flower waiting to bloom.
Boulder always had a passion for arts, and a soft spark for those who needed help. Any of those less fortunate than him were those he sought to care for. He made friends easily and spoke softly. If he could draw a laugh from someone, that was the happiest you saw him.
That boy would be better.
So, as Boulder went through school, studied in Academy, his father couldn't have been more proud of him. His boy would be a hero, one way or another. And you know his older brothers hugged him tight, proud of their little brother.
