BIOGRAPHY —
WHERE WE BEGAN → You were still so young when you realized that there really was no pleasing your parents. No matter how well you did in lessons, how much praise your parents raised about you from the other pureblood families, how hard you tried, they were always going to want more from you. The attention your parents showered you in was hardly ever positive, and though on the surface you appeared to be their golden child, that wasn’t really the case. They saw the most potential in you; as in, you would be most useful to them. Your parents wanted a puppet, not a child. Still, there was a bright spot in your life. When your sister came into the world, you vowed that you would always protect her. Even if your parents had no interest in her, you did. You gave her your attention, your love, and your protection, especially in the face of your parents. Sometimes, that meant keeping their focus off of her and onto you, hoping they would overlook whatever transgression she committed in their eyes. While you felt your light was already darkened, you could still fight to protect hers. DURING SCHOOL → While you hated leaving your sister behind, Hogwarts was the solstice you needed to survive. It was there that you realized all the propaganda you’d been raised with was just that. Even in school, you had to keep appearances, however, under the radar, you made friends with people across the board. Out of all your childhood friends, Andromeda was the one you liked most, but the one you had to seemingly pull away from as the years went on. They understood, the same way Ted did when you couldn’t let yourself be seen in public with them. If the consequences only affected you, there would have been no hesitation, but you had a sister to protect and you knew your parents would forever use that against you. They had long since learned to punish the two of you by hurting the other. Still, despite appearing to be everything they molded you to be, you never really learned how to fit into it. You had better morals, better ideals, and a strong sense of empathy that you only learned to hide, not snuff out. Under the layers of deadpan and sarcasm, coldness and detachment, was a heart that beat for others so strongly you thought it might burst some days. At Hogwarts, you learned how to balance the double life, and how to create and maintain your perfect mask. You never intended for your little sister to follow your lead, but when she did, you couldn’t help but be a little proud. WHERE WE ARE NOW → When graduation came, you had your pick of career opportunities. It was considered a bold move when you moved away from home, but you knew you wouldn’t survive living under their iron fist much longer. When you had your own place, you leveraged a way for your sister to come with you. As a Rosier, your name held weight and your family’s influence meant you could do just about anything. Before Voldemort could assign you a career path, as he had been prepared to do, you came up with your own. A foreign diplomat that handled affairs with other countries' ministries. As it was, the Dark Lord was quite pleased with your choice, as he believed you were going to use your influence as he directed. Always a good soldier, you let him continue to believe that. Meanwhile, you were already working on ways to dismantle his power. So when the Resistance formed, you didn’t hesitate to join. It didn’t surprise you that your sister was near the heart of it, but it did scare you. Still, knowing you were on the same side was comforting, and that you could work together in the shadows in ways the others couldn’t. Living a double life was exhausting at times, but you kept fighting, hoping one day you could help create a world where you wouldn’t need to lead one.
