I dont think dialogue alone would fix it, but you are om point with the thing about build up. Thing needs time to unfold naturally, this is just forced… I wonder what next week will bring. And I cant wait to see how GRRM does it. Im afraid the show is ruining the actual real story for people.. I want the proper story or at least this one properly told

I’ve heard that GRRM didn’t sign off on this season, which might be why it has taken a turn for the worse so fast, tho I’m not 100% sure how true that is

I do wonder if he’s seen these last couple of seasons, and what he thinks of them though, I kinda hope we get to hear about that one day

They are rushing everything so much… I dont disagree with the direction of the story because the characters are still driven by their core motivations (in my opinion, I know not everyone agrees and Im 100% fine with that). But they are not giving the events the time they need. More story building and less blacked out battles and meaningless war crimes please

Yeah, all these things are technically within the realm of ‘plausible’, but there gotta be some kind of build up to them, they can’t just happen over night on a basis of ‘just bc we said so’. The things that are happening are no longer earned, they just happen bc they need things to move forward, and they can’t come up with something better while rushing to finish it all up

Everything’s just meaningless filler now, but I honestly don’t know if more dialogue would help seeing how shite D&D are at writing said dialogue

He always does this, and I think he’s trying to be helpful? But 99% of the time it just stresses me out, and makes me feel like I should be doing more than I am despite being at my breaking point just by getting out of bed every day

Tho ofc if you try to give HIM advice, he just gets grumpy and shuts you down right away, interesting 😏
