Finally stared work on a project I’ve wanted to do for actual years: creating illustrations for one of my all-time favorite fanfics, The Sea Makes Bones of Bodies by @swordsmans.

I don’t think I can adequately capture the mood and visuals this piece evoked for me, but I wanted to start playing around with it and see what happened.

Don’t totally love them so far, so I’m treating these as rough drafts. I originally pictured something more impressionistic and textured, but I can’t seem to help myself in smoothing everything out. Ah well!

Funny you should ask; I actually have some old ones!

I haven't figured out my favorite way to draw Luffy yet though; I find his face difficult to translate from the anime style.

Mer-Hats of MerMay, #1! This silly mini project happened completely by accident; I was feeling self indulgent so there you have it!

First up is Luffy as a moray eel.

I'm planning on getting the rest of the crew done at least, if not additional characters. :)
