Super fun exercise in practicing stylizing these guys—I gave myself 3 minutes to sketch them each from memory—no references—and colored them later. Might be my favorite one piece art I’ve done, honestly; they’re so silly. 😂

Somewhat lazy background painting revisiting Fish Zoro. Again! :D
Repost of an old piece that I thought had potential but never really liked. I fixed him up a little and there are still some funky bits but overall much better I think. Maybe.
This was part of last year’s one piece pinup series; I might need to fix up the rest of them too.
I really want these to exist, so I drew them.
Every time I see Wano-era Zoro I mourn his old skin color and hair color and normal-sized neck; sometimes I just have to sketch about it.
One of these was referenced from a figurine and the other is just a shameless pinup.
More nonsense with fish-Zoro; I’ve missed him.
Finally stared work on a project I’ve wanted to do for actual years: creating illustrations for one of my all-time favorite fanfics, The Sea Makes Bones of Bodies by @swordsmans.
I don’t think I can adequately capture the mood and visuals this piece evoked for me, but I wanted to start playing around with it and see what happened.
Don’t totally love them so far, so I’m treating these as rough drafts. I originally pictured something more impressionistic and textured, but I can’t seem to help myself in smoothing everything out. Ah well!
Some marimo encounters.
I’ve missed these little doodley guys so I doodled some more.
I made an ugly little book out of the daily doodles, too.
Today’s the day!!!
Here’re the last Zolu daily doodles to celebrate opla season 2’s release! Doing these every day made the month pass SO quickly.
Ended up with an extra one because I heard a song that tickled my Luzo feels and I couldn’t help myself. WHY are they so cute.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Zolu-a-day until opla doodles pt 4!
This accidentally became the manhandling-Zoro edition, woops.
Part 3 Part 2 Part 1
Chapter 1175 this week was wild. Definitely not foreboding at all.
Edit: oh NO I never noticed I forgot to alter Zoro’s robe in one of these. Maybe I’ll fix it…someday…
Zolu-a-day until opla countdown continues!
Part 2
Part 1
Return of the scribble doodles—gonna have to do these for the whole crew.
I finally figured out how to color correct these for tumblr, so here’s the whole crew so far!
I’ve been struggling with compositional indecision on Brook and Robin, but they’ll join the collection eventually—
Next set of ZoLoodles counting down to opla—
Part 1
These were a bunch of siren sketches I did as I read Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant, as more of their physical description was revealed. Really loved the thought put into the author’s take on merfolk and highly recommend it for its speculative biology if nothing else!
Challenging myself to doodle a silly Zolu every day for the month until opla season 2 comes out!
Here’re days 1-5; I can’t tell if I’m charmed or horrified by their new outfits in the trailers but I’m definitely going to do more with those.
