“...Alright, Secretary Frumpy. We’ll be receiving a guest of honor from Pearl. I want you to be on your best behavior. Got it?” Enterprise spoke to Lexington.
“I am not the one that needs to be on their best behavior. You’re supposed to be shining star of American prestige, yet all you do is sit around eating ice cream and picking fights with Ensigns.” Lexington dryly said.
“H-Hey. Don’t imply I’m lazy! I do a lot of hard work. Like listening to the President complain that the war against the Abyss has been stalling for too long...A-And, having to put up with Iowa getting all up in my face with her weird retro-pin up girl get up. I’ve seen things that I never wanna see.” Enterprise protested.
“You know that you could just ask her to wear a jacket, right? Sigh...You’re a blockhead. Anyways...as is custom, I’ll greet the guest, while you just sit here and look impressive with your hat and dress uniform. Please make sure not to get any ice cream all over it this time around....I do not like the laundress on the base.” Lexington said.
With that she shut the door, her ghost-like robes flowing behind her. With her normal quick pace, Lexington soon came face to face to with the guest of honor, she was supposed to meet up with. It seemed that she was just as accustomed to these honorary meetings as Lex was.
“Ah. You must be Langley, I take it.”
