Concept!Pharah (Gore) again!

First post about him is here. Can`t stop drawing because he`s like my blood now

And i glad you`ve noticed that he looks like Trafalgar Law from One Piece. Law is one of my fav characters from this title but Dean looks more rightly because we have another guy inspired by Iron Giant - Bastion. Anyway, i drew dis adorable dorks together! 

And with Angelo too

P.S. about his name. Gore  was the first that came into my mind. Also good names (i guess): Pharagore and Farhod. Farhod is coolest! 

P.S.S. And about pale Pharah in the previous post... For me it difficult to work with colors because i have awful TN  panel on my notebook. So i can`t drawing right. Sry for this %)

So those Mercy concepts....

Okay, for the record, losing queer MOC Mercy is way worse than what I’m about to talk about. I’m not trying to contest that. 

So after they decided on blonde, white, female Mercy, they had this concept

Compare and contrast her final 2D design, which is really just a reskin of this set...

I’m.... kinda pissed off? They never should have released this concept art, because as aesthetically pleasing as Mercy’s base skin is, it’s so boring compared to the concept art. And this isn’t even a matter of ‘too difficult to implement’ like Beta Lucio’s pants (were supposed to have soundwaves ticking up and down as he acted), it’s just....

Release!Mercy is spun sugar and this is a battle medic. Even with the heels, even that first one, this is a Mercy who I can see elbow-deep in gore and grime. Release!Mercy, even in the comic panel where she’s apparently on the field, in a simple tent, trying to sort people out, is never tarnished, always spic and span.

Does Release!Mercy’s design look good? Sure. But does it look interesting? Does it look functional? Compared to this, not even close. Even if Gabriel did design her and McCree’s base skins, her Uprising skin isn’t even as operational as this.

The left-most design’s silhouette is almost the same as what we got, but the details and color palette read way more biohazard-y. Second-to-the-left is a little more functional but still keeps the essentials of the Mercy design, and frankly I really wish they’d gone with it, or one of these, if they had to make Mercy a white woman. Instead they split the difference between the incredible male Mercy’s costume and this body and got.... angel woman.

I just saw the Mercy concept art and FUCK. Why did they not have Mercy as a black dude that would have been great..(We have Lucio, but still more poc is always good) And the concept art of her in clothes that are actually useful for her line of work!?! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!

All I ask is why the change? It was already great
