I haven’t uploaded Merlen-Gala session art in AGES, lemme fix that.
This is from Session 28 back at the end of June, when Valdr’s hair finally grew back after his patron’s wild magic rendered him bald. As can be expected of a god of chaos, it came back twice as long as it was before. The guy hasn’t willingly gotten a haircut yet, and at this point he’s mostly seeing how long he can put one off before fate decides to shear him again.
Langley had incidentally run into his old fiance, who’d invited us to brunch with his husband; turns out they’d been arranged to marry years ago, but no one clued the barbarian in on this plan and he failed to show up to the wedding, not realizing he was betrothed. Because we wanted to give Langley’s player some time to shine, most of us sat back and watched utter chaos unfold between the two, and Valdr was very grateful for the show.
We also attended an annual festival in a Dwarven town called Midsummit, which basically was Carnivale. I was the only person who drew my costume, and honestly I wish I had more spoons for backgrounds. An assassination attempt was planned for Midsummit’s local lord (long story short, he wanted to make the government a democracy, and the nobles didn’t like that since it would rob them of their power), but in the most ridiculous manner possible, we stopped it.
By tango dancing the assassin straight to jail.
We called session at that point, but background shenanigans led to muppets and cracks about what Valdr and Shael’s relationship would be like if they were related.
