Might make a Nexo Knights au where Merlock got sealed in the books instead of Monstrox...
This was spurred on by daydreaming in class earlier.
The kingdom is controlled by Monstrox and the lava monsters. King Halbert and his family are basically figureheads and have no real power in the kingdom. Macy is forced to be a princess 24/7, the idea of her entering the knight's academy not even entertained as a serious suggestion. However, due to his fanily's high status socially, she is betrothed to Lance who has been training her in secret bc neither of them are too happy about their situation and recognise they're in the same boat.
Jestro's backstory is basically the same just that he obviously never found the Book of Monsters bc it doesn't exist.
Axl never left his family in Diggington and still lives there with them.
Aaron never got sent to the Knight's Academy by his parents, instead going into a life of petty crime.
Clay was raised by his mother for a short while before she would be killed by Monstrox who saw her ability with magic as a threat. After that, he would grow up on the streets slowly honing his own innate magical abilities on his own. He eventually sneaks into Monstrox's personal library and manages to steal the book Merlock is sealed in [Instead of containing monsters, it contains the Nexo powers]

An art request I made to my buddy GamingStar of my own design of Merlock the Terrible Magician! This my own take on Merlock from the Ducktales movie if he ever appeared in DT17. (Cause seriously, they reference in one episode and didn't show him at all which was a let down :p)
Anyway here's my info on my version of the evil wolf magician:
Merlock was an evil and sadistic warlock who caused destruction and chaos everywhere he went and is the murderer of Quinn Alexander, which made him the mortal enemy to both his son John Alexander and the Alexander family.
John would go on and hunt Merlock down over the centuries to avenged his father's death. The two battle wherever they went until one day John would finally defeat Merlock; burning the left side of his face and blinding his eye and cutting off his right arm before stabbing in his gut and kicking the evil warlock into a bottomless pit, finally avenging his father's death and seemly killing his hated enemy.
Unknown to John, Merlock would survive the fall but was badly injured and would retreat to his lair to recover. Giving himself a prosthetic clawed arm to replace his missing one, Merlock would swear revenge on John for nearly killing him. Yet, by the time he was healed, the evil warlock would not be able to get his revenge on John as he and his wife Quill were had tragically died due to FOWL.
Instead, Merlock would target John's children, Alice, Brodie and Casey as a way to get his revenge on. However, despite almost killing them, Merlock would be defeated by them and their allies, finally ending the evil warlock once and for all.

So just for the hell of it, i made my loz duck au merlock beast form, basically his ganon, since hes ganondorf in this au.
i take parts of his other forms from the ducktales movie and combined them together. and based parts on TP dark beast ganon.
