LIKE I'M POSITIVELY CERTAIN that this is what i need in my life.

i was planning on writing a quick titanic!au after CTPFF was finished because of a prompt i got ages ago but MERMAN!JACK falling in love with human!elsa.

i also feel like i would want her to remain a princess/queen-in-training in some variation of this au, too. she's got all sorts of responsibility and pressures and expectations and he's this fin-flapping, fun-loving merman who has so much more freedom.

OR he's still some kind of guard/guardian of something in the ocean, and that adds another layer of complexity and possible angst.

OR it's actually a modern au and elsa is just very lonely and jack doesn't understand, but he does, because he's been lonely before--it's just been a long time, and he has his family now, but what family does elsa have?

BONUS POINTS if elsa actually hates the beach and the water and she prefers the land where she has more control
