Day 2: What inspired you to take your subject(s)?

Originally I wanted to be a professor in smth cool like immunology or medical nanotech but now I'm curious about getting into bioinformatics (whether the dream is academia or industry, I'm not sure). Inspiration usually takes the form of a specific career path but ultimately I want to seek truths and share it and do good for as many people as possible (while ofc having a good work-life balance and all the nice things that come from having a stable job)! Tell me, am I being too idealistic?

On another note, it's day 7 of 100dop. Took it a little easier today post-tutorial but I finished VSEPR notes and finally understand valence bond theory!! If anyone needs to know VB theory too, I found this video particularly helpful. Still struggling with molecular orbital theory but I'm hoping a good night's sleep will help...

After that just 3 more sections of this week's chapter left!! (3 if you're counting the optional section...but idk if future chem courses will talk about it so i wanna max out on the learning if i can 🧠😬)

Dans les #Halieutiques, il oppose l'astuce des poissons à la bêtise des animaux terrestres. Le fragment qui nous est parvenu n'est pas très long, et j'ai un peu honte de le dire, mais heureusement ! La litanie de #poissons que je n'arrive pas à identifier n'est pas passionnante, même s'il y a un passage intéressant sur les différentes tactiques des murènes pour échapper à la capture. I am literally laughing out loud, how in the hell did you manage to get in on the ceiling? hahahahaha XD

I’m glad I made you laugh :D Well, I think the container must have bounced on something. Well, at least now I know that my theory about using vinegar and bicarbonate soda gives result : best non-toxic cleaning agent. I used it to scrub the ceiling (and since it was falling on me too, I had to use the least toxic cleaning agent!) But I’m full of this kind of stories. Next time you need to laugh, send me a message :D

Oh man same one time my aunts and I were making roasted nuts, and I don't know what we did wrong but when we took them out of the oven they EXPLODED. Literally exploded. All over the oven and ceiling.

Oh my!!! It must have been scary! And what a mess!!! I’ve also had oven disasters (Like dropping my Montgomery Pie’s molasses (thick and sticky) filling on the over door, and the floor and everywhere.)
