The next #wip I'm attacking is the #MerseyWrap, also from #CentenaryStitches! All of my projects for other people are finished, and it's really nice to work on projects for myself again! I'm not going to be able to finish the wrap this week, but I've made good progress! I've also done a couple of no-nos that I wouldn't do on a project for someone else, but because it's for me, I don't care! . No-no number one, I switched needles mid-project. The original needles I was using are bamboo, which is Very Grippy, and the yarn is also Quite Grippy, which made for a miserable knitting experience, so I switched to wooden needles that are exactly the same size, and it's much easier to work with now that the needles and the yarn aren't trying to melt together anymore. . No-no number two, I switched how I purl a few rows after switching needles. I started this project purling wrong, and was utterly miserable continuing to purl that way, so I switched to the correct way, and it's going MUCH better now! There's no visual difference unless you know what you're looking for and basically put your eyeball directly on the fabric, which is not generally recommended. . . . . . . #buttercupyarnart #yarn #yarnart #fiberart #fibreart #diy #crafting #quarantineknit #quarantinecrafting #quarantinecraft #isolationknitting #isolationcrafting #shawl #shawlknitting #knittedshawl #wrap #knittedwrap #wrapknitting #historicalknitting #selfstripingyarn #pinkyarn #purpleyarn #workinprogress https://www.instagram.com/p/CB6GicjBzuf/?igshid=8j7m3dzh4pfe
