It’s finished!!! My Laurel Mists shawl is complete! I skipped eight rows of the final lace because it very quickly became clear that 650 stitches of lace is not my jam! I don’t think this hurt the final look of the shawl, though, and I’m really happy with how it came out! Thank you to SweetGeorgia for running my first-ever MKAL, and thank you to Tabetha Hedrick for designing such a beautiful shawl!

I have (metaphorically) run face-first into a brick wall of my own creation. I have #ADHD, which basically means that my brain requires external stimulation to function normally. And it turns out that my brain has decided that solid yarn isn't stimulating enough to look at, regardless of what I'm doing with it. Which is really unhelpful, since I planned to make the next two #KittyCouches with solid yarn from my stash. I'm hoping that having really good stuff to listen to while I work (like @ordergooddeath's latest video, which you can see on my screen in the background) will help my brain Deal With It. Wound up my @oinkpigments yarn for the #clairvoyantshawl #knitalong from @totallyradjess! I love the colors in the kit, and how much smaller the little pigtails are from a full-size skein! The pigtails pushed my swift to its limit, but were so quick to wind up! In between MKAL clues, I've started working up the Kenan's Hoodie pattern from @universal_yarn! Working in black, I was fully prepared for my stitch texture to be absolute mud - but it's way less muddy than I was expecting! Yay! I'm working a size up from my usual size for some extra coziness, and crossing my fingers that I'll have enough yarn - I thought I had more of this yarn than I do!
