I have been using this scene in all of my Buddie related edits since the start of the break, i need new scenes!!!

This was just a silly idea I had, but I noticed how many times figs were brought up in Dany’s chapters. To me, it seems that figs represent Dany’s practicality and desire to provide for her people. 

1. She leads her khalasar into Vaes Tolorro despite the foreboding scattering of skulls as she knows that it’s more important for her to find food so her people don’t starve in the Red Waste: 

"Ghosts," Irri muttered. "Terrible ghosts. We must not stay here, Khaleesi, this is their place." 

"I fear no ghosts. Dragons are more powerful than ghosts." And figs are more important. (Daenerys I, ACOK)

2. She is motivated to take Meereen to feed her freedmen, not by the gold and gems she could take for herself: 

"I must have this city," she told them, sitting crosslegged on a pile of cushions, her dragons all about her. Irri and Jhiqui poured wine. "Her granaries are full to bursting. There are figs and dates and olives growing on the terraces of her pyramids, and casks of salt fish and smoked meat buried in her cellars." (Daenerys V, ASOS)

This might be a bit too much justification for creating a fig throne, but oh well 😄
