Found an amazinggggg artist for Mass Effect commissions... and then I realised that for the prices and to get my entire OC squad drawn up it would still be expensive even at the cheapest rates.
I love my babies but when I have 5 in the group, it really hikes comm prices up. Yikes.
Ackkkkk, maybe when I get paid, as a little treat to myself 😂
I don’t like that this begins with Jin Rak arguing for what he supposes is Dok Mi’s honor. HOWEVER Enrique is the cute adorable bunny while Jin Rak tries SO HARD to be the knight and I LOVE their interactions with one another. Because even a bunny can get pissed and bite if you fuck with it too much.
Do Hwi and her version of the story and how she still thinks it will get her with Jin Rak/Jae Won (to her). … arg
Though Enrique doesn’t yet seem to understand that his interest in Dok Mi is more than curiosity or totally romantic, her rejecting him and pushing him away seems to get him thinking about his self image and what the media says. If we can trust that Seo Young and Tae Joon were at least attentive enough of E to see most words bounce off of him before, then my argument is more legitimate. Otherwise, maybe it always hurt Enrique how others viewed him, but nobody cared to notice until Dok Mi…. which makes the events of the rest WORST either way
I like and believe E’s notion that him watching and actually listening to DM for a few days is knowing her better that JR’s fantasy version that knows obscure facts but nothing about what actually makes her tick or how she feels. That isn’t to say that E’s right about everything in regards to DM yet imo but… He’s a lot closer than JR.
I don’t like anything about Do Hwi’s interpretation of events. It is obviously edited and self-serving at every turn. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SCREW WITH DOK MI!? Jin Rak that yells at E for stirring DM’s life… YELL AT DO HWI instead! She’s the real person causing harm at this point…
Then E goes a bit to far to push DM out of her coping zone. And she lashes out… Because that is literally what people do. We build safe zones for ourselves sometimes for whatever reasons. When someone appears to be threatening that safety and comfort we’ve build or think we’ve built… we’ll lash out. GET AWAY FROM MY FUCKING HIDEY HOLE. GET AWAY FROM MY SAFE ZONE. Whether or not this zone we’ve built is actually healthy or safe… invasion of it can cause someone to lash out and say and do terrible things to protect it. And here we have Dok Mi and E’s fight. E wants in and close. He’s not entirely sure of why he’s so concerned about her and her life and how she lives yet. He just can’t leave her alone. Then you have DM, who thinks it is better to just have anything that interrupts her safe space to go away, even if just a bit of her wants the interruption. Just a bit of her wants him in her life interrupting and being cute and bouncing all over her space… but he goes to far with her for just a bit and she lashes out.
She lashes out. Her desire to defend what she thinks is safe and easier and comfortable is greater than her desire to keep him around just yet. AND HONESTLY if this person just came into my life and seemed to act like he knew exactly how I felt and kept comparing it to fucking soccer… I wouldn’t react well even though he’s adorable. She regrets it later and understands him and realizes later that she wants him to shake her life up. But it is still so new for her so she lashes out and they fight. And she says terrible things she’ll later regret. Park Shin Hye is amazing in this scene. You see her try and endure him talking like he knows exactly how she feels. Then her face gradually breaks down. After breaking down, you see her face get PISSED AS FUCK. And then the fight begins. No words needed in her acting until her character can’t take his mouth anymore. AND EVEN THEN she tries quietly and somewhat politely (though slamming people’s stuff around isn’t entirely polite in any culture)… She just wants him out of her safe space. He just can’t understand why she needs one and how she can possibly maintain it and be well. Thus attacks.
SO E wants into her life. He isn’t entirely sure why. She’s got extreme anxiety and despite her growing feelings for him and enjoyment of his company she lashes out when he seems to question how she copes. In questioning how she copes, it can be like taking away her comfort and stability. It can be like taking away the thing that makes her happy despite everything.
And he seems so much more hurt by it than what he’s admitted to feel would allow.
She did MEAN to cut him off… but how much did she mean it?
And E going to JR. “OMG. WHAT IS THIS, Why won’t anyone let me in?”
Panda slippers are adorbz and his cousin buying him a better tv is also adorbz.
The only thing Seo Young notices well is that it is “that woman” that is making him question what he thinks about himself when these things come out about him.
Can E literally NOT stay away from people that ask for him no matter how shitty he feels? Why is he hanging out with Seo Young and Tae Joon?
AND THEN there’s E looking at DM’s apartment and finding the curtains closed and feeling a thing.
With authorship on an actual book I get why DM responded how she did. However, I also understand the world of academics where providing an idea or a figure gets you listed as an author sometimes.
Why at that time did E fight so hard for his phone? He seems more like the guy that would have understood what the thief wanted/needed at another time. I think he would have tried to help that person rather than chase and fight as far as he did (when he eventually decided to let that person take it) if he weren’t so frustrated. I think his current feelings and questions played a role.
Why do I ever have to care about Seo Young and Tae Joon? They are stupid and in the way and I don’t have any time for any of their shit.
And then DM tries to help E even after their fight…
